Resources

It's great to talk about the difficulties - it definitely helps to know that others are going through the same problems, but I'd like to take a minute to go through the resources I compiled in my sleep-deprived anxiety-laden quest to 'get it right'.  I know that they would be useful for new Mom's-to-be in a way that my breastfeeding classes never were.  So here they are:

Canadian Breastfeeding Foundation.  Amazing!  First stop choice.

International Breastfeeding Centre.  Second stop choice.  HAS VIDEOS!!!

La Leche League.  So many good articles.  My go-to articles were the ones about "Clampdown Bite Reflex" and "The World of Latch-on: One Leader's Journey"

Breastfeeding Basics.  Wide variety of topics.

An article about overactive letdown, which explains a problem that so many mothers have, whether they have oversupply or NOT!

An article about milk flow, the most critical issue surround a newborn's reaction to breastfeeding.

An article about artificial nipples.  Hint: The orthodontic Nuks work best, because they fit on standard bottles yet still have a wide base, and they squish nicely in the shape of a woman's breast in the mouth.

Latex:  http://www.amazon.com/NUK-Orthodontic-Latex-Nipples-Slow/dp/B0013NFZNU/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1362697621&sr=1-1&keywords=nuk+latex+nipples

Amazing support site for all you EPers out there:

Thrush.  Warning!  Gentian Violet makes for disturbing clown baby pictures.

A funny article to help ease your stress:

Good luck to everyone!

Wonderful resources, Huntersnewmommy! Let me add my go to resource that (along with hands on help from an experienced LC) helped me transition my DD to breast at 10 weeks:
