I said between 12-18 months in another thread about this, but then I remembered that I spent 8 days in the hospital when DD was 6 months old. She was home with DH and came to visit me daily, though. 

But as far as leaving overnight on purpose, I left each child with DH for a weekend somewhere between 12-18 months. I don't really consider that "leaving" them though, as they were home with their other parent. The first time they had sleepovers with their grandparents, they were over 2 and it went great!
