I always wonder this. You can give as many or as little details as you want.

3 times.

2 losses at 18 weeks (little girl and little boy whom we miss terribly)

and 1 live birth at 37 weeks. My sweet little chub.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, too, because I realized just how high my number seems to me.

7 times.

1 terminated when I was in high school greensad.gif

2 DDs

1 ruptured ectopic

1 DS

1 loss at 11 weeks

1 EDD 9/13

I think this is why I ask this question. I know its selfish but sometimes I feel alone in my loss and this question always reminds me I am not alone and that where ever my children are they are not alone either.

I wonder about the true statistics of miscarriages/pregnancies that didn't reach a successful conclusion.  It seemed to me, at the time I was living through the first mc, that the rest of the female world was getting pregnant and staying pregnant with no problem at all.  After my first miscarriage, I was shocked at the number of woman that told me they had losses as well.  As time has gone by, it seems to me that losses/problems are far more common than women of our generation were raised to believe.  (No less sad)

This is my 11th pregnancy. I only have 3 living children.

Had 2 losses before DD1 (age 19, we got married at 18 &21), then 5 consecutive losses in a years time after DS, ending in the loss of my fallopian tube in my DS's 2nd bday (I was 26).

I often feel alone as well. After a few losses, eventually I felt like I wasn't the only one. But now after 7 losses, I feel like people consder me a freak of nature or like I am at fault, since I am still young and seem to be the only one of my peers who has TROUBLE with pregnancy.

3 times, 2 children

One pregnancy and I have one child as a result of that pregnancy.

I got pregnant pretty soon after I started having sex and had no problems with the pregnancy. After dd was born, dh and I were very careful and then he had a vasectomy so really no more pregnancy possibilities beyond that point.

7 times - 4 living children.  1 child - 2 miscarriages another chld - 2 more miscarriages - another child.  I would love more children.  But I don't think I can go through more miscarriages.  I am really jealous of women that can take their fertility for granted.

Eight times, that I know of (I strongly suspect I had a very early miscarriage in my teens):

  • Four living children.
  • One miscarriage at 7 weeks
  • Two miscarriages at 12 weeks.
  • One term stillbirth.

I had my first child, then several years of secondary infertility, then three miscarriages, then two more children, then the stillbirth, then one more child...and a tubal.

Two pregnancies that I know of, two children. I know I'm incredibly lucky. It was MDC that first opened my eyes to how devastatingly common miscarriage is; and a few of my real-life friends have told me about miscarriages a few years back, which at the time they didn't mention. :( I must admit, even though we're using barrier methods at the moment, every time I have a heavier-than-usual period it crosses my mind now.

My mother had two losses and six live children. One was a twin loss (the other twin survived, though she has special needs that may or may not be related); the other was her last pregnancy at 45. I only found out about the twin thing many years later, and it really threw me. I remember the last miscarriage. It still seems weird to think I might have had two extra siblings.

After my first miscarriage, my family doctor told me that one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage. I have no idea where he got the number, but I've heard it from other medical professionals, as well. I do know that, when I had mine, stories of other women experiencing them seemed to pop up everywhere.

Pregnant three times but only the last time did I actually get a choice. The first time I had just turned 16 and my parents forced me into a termination. The second time was a little over a year later and we found out after I had been through two 9hour heart surgeries. They said I could try to go to term but chances were that the Peanut was non-viable. And the last time it was my graduation present to find out I was pregnant and DP and I decided we wanted him no matter what.

My mother shared with me that she's been pregnant 7 times. First with me, then two miscarries, then she was told she couldn't get pregnant & BAM! along comes my little sister, and two more miscarriages after her.

I feel horrible about her luck, and how she never got a chance to have a boy.

7 pregnancies. Two living children (not twins).4 miscarriages. One currently gestating. BTW 1babysmom, I am 26 too and definitely feel alone being so young and having so much trouble staying pregnant, too.
