Boy or Girl - Who's too impatient to wait? « Back to Group Discussions

Earlier this week, at just over 19 weeks I found out that I am having a baby girl. I've suspected as much VERY strongly the entire time. I'm totally beside myself with excitement and have moments of weeping tears of joys just imagining all the things I did with my mother that I will now get to do with my daughter - hiking and bike riding, gardening and flower-picking, painting and roller skating and berry picking and . . . *sniff!* Anyone else getting the news before the birth? Anyone else already got it?

My anatomy scan is tomorrow morning and I am SO excited to find out!

Once I can get past tomorrow's appointment and hearing the heartbeat for real, I know that's going to be the next thing on my mind - boy or girl!  I am really hoping for a boy to even out the mix, but love my girls to death and of course would be pleased with another girl.  We are definitely finding out if baby is cooperative in April. :)

We find out a week from tomorrow at our organ scan.  So excited!!!

I'm trying to keep track in the roll call as best as I can (see color coding, including "Team Green" for those waiting to find out). So far girls are dominating in our DDC.

We're going to officially find out through gender cakes with pink and or blue filling (2 cakes, 2 babies). But I didn't avert my eyes during my scan on Monday and am confident we're getting at least one boy! Baby A was too curled up so no clue but Baby B gave us a nice butt/legs shot. I asked the sonographer not to say anything but she didn't have to say anything...I have another scan in 2 weeks and maybe we'll find out that day about both babies.

We'll find out at the anatomy scan next Friday.  The kids really want to know (they each want a same gender sibling) so we're finding out.  Of course, we might not have the choice either way--- DS made it quite obvious during his u/s.

We found out today we're having a girl! I honestly did not have a preference, but I am so excited for a girl. I am only sorry I'm not giving my DS a brother since he hardly knows any boys. All our friends have girls.

So exciting everyone! I find out in 3 long weeks! We did not find out until birth with DD so I am excited to know this time.  My 3 year old DD is so sure it is a boy, it is strange how confident she is.  She is totally convincing me too! Anyone else have children guess correctly (or incorrectly)?

We have our anatomy scan on April 1st.  My husband is a teaser, so everyone will second guess whether or not we're playing an "april fools" joke on them when we announce the results.  :)

Of course, we just need to hope the baby doesn't play one on us. :)  That would be the only way I'd be patient enough to not find out...if the baby won't let us see.

After four times on Team Green, I'm finally getting into the idea of finding out. I highly suspect another boy (have 3!), but my boys want another girl. My subconscious thoughts have gone both ways. I'm 19wks now and will probably go in around 24 weeks.

oregon, my oldest is 100% convinced this baby is a girl.  I keep suggesting it might be a boy and finally have gotten her to understand that it MIGHT be a boy. :p  She's suggesting goofy names too.  I need to write some of them down.  I know she suggested "Ranna" for a girl, amongst others and just recently suggested "Jumpy" for a boy. :p

My son is convinced this is a girl too.  A few more weeks and we'll see if he's right!  The bedroom situation will be easier if he's wrong, but oh, to get a chance to make girly dresses...

So far we've got Snickerdoodle (as in the cookie).  Hopefully once DS knows the sex, he'll pick something less...sugary.  ;)

Haha! I love the made-up kiddo names. DD has named her baby dolls Antenna and Different. She wants me to use one of those names for the new baby. No thanks! :-)

My DS (2.5) told us he wanted a cat when we asked if he wanted a brother or a sister. Now we know we're having a girl, he wants to NAME the baby Cat. I guess Katherine is as good a contender as any! :) My nephew correctly guessed it was a girl, also. Everyone else said boy; I think I knew in my heart. Or maybe it's easy to say that now that I know. Ha ha.

My DS named his sister Azalona before she was born.  We have no idea where he came up with it.  My DS knew he was having a baby sister before I even knew I was pregnant.  He just came up to me one day and said he was going to have a sister.  He told everyone it was a girl before we knew for sure.  I told him it was a girl and he told me he was right and I was wrong.  lol

Ha! These replies make me excited for baby #2 for sure! I can only imagine what kind of silly ideas a little tot would have about a baby growing inside of me. This time around, I'm totally surrounded by adults (save for at work, but those kids don't know I'm pregnant yet) -- adults have some strange suggestions, but no one has suggested that I deliver a cat rather than a baby.
