A girl! We are having a girl! She'll be Julia. :)
Boy or Girl - Who's too impatient to wait? - Page 4
We found out today we are having healthy baby girl! I know there are only two options but I was shocked. My 3 year old DD was so sure and set on it being a boy, she had convinced me too. And my pregnancies have been different too. It was crazy though because the tech right away said "well, I see you are having a boy, congrats!" and then 5 minutes later, he said "I am sorry that was the cord! It is definitely a girl". We are thrilled!
Hi all, had the scan today at 20 weeks 3 days and it's a boy. Actually we knew since week 12 with the genetic test but DH was SO SURE he knew it was a girl that he felt he had to see it with his own eyes on the US today... which he did! Apparently he's pretty big too, 75th percentile and 14 oz. I'm rather petite so hope that doesn't end up translating into a harder birth...
I wouldn't worry about it. Remember, ultrasounds are routinely 10% off (we got the official report and the measurements all have ranges associated with them). Our son was 15 ounces at 20 weeks, 4 days (>90th percentile) and I'm not worried at all. Also, you being petite (within "normal" ranges) doesn't really indicate how much your pelvis will stretch--- I've known 5'1", 95 pounds (when not pregnant) women who had no problems with 9 pound babies and much larger women who had a hard time with 6-7 pound babies. :)
We had our scan this morning. It looks like a little boy for us!
Everything looks great and I am measuring exactly to the day. That is great because my DD measured small the whole time and it was always red flagging me. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference this early, but baby is head down. DD stayed breech the whole way last time and I had to have a C-section because of it. I am feeling excited!
Well, our baking soda test was wrong. The test said boy, but we are adding to our estrogen ocean.
Pretty sure this will be our last baby, so that makes 6 girls and one boy.
We were hoping for a brother for our little man, but he assures me that the next one will be a boy.
I wonder how he'll take when he realizes that there won't be a next one.
Anyway, I'm seeing ruffles and frills again and getting pretty excited.
My anterior placenta explains why this pregnancy is SO different than all of my others.
But, just last night, I finally started feeling the baby kick from the outside! yay!!
It's strange to not feel until now, but I'm glad that has started. There's so much comfort and
reassurance that comes with feeling the baby kick.
Okay, done rambling. We're having a girl. :D
