menstrual cup after giving birth

I am looking for other women who use a menstrual cup to share experiences with.  My son is 7 months old and I have had 3 menstrual cycles...I still can't use the Diva cup without soreness and outright pain.  The crazy thing is, I had an emergency c-section (although I did dialate to 10 cm), so my son never passed through the birth canal.  I'm confused as to why I am still having issues with the cup.  Any other women have this? 

I absolutely LOVE my cup and want to use it.  I was thinking of taking a few months off though in lieu of present circumstances.  I get so sore I cant have sex and thats no good.

Have you checked with a midwife or OB/Gyn to see if there is something anatomical going on, like a cytocele or slight prolapse?

Definitely check in with your medical care provider about this! In general, you should be able to use the cup after giving birth at whatever point your provider tells you it's okay to use internal methods of menstrual protection or have intercourse. The continued soreness you're experiencing is a good reason to check in with your provider and make sure everything is healing normally.
