Its crazy how many boys are in this ddc. My husband thinks its a boy. I waiver depending on the day. We bought a card for the ultrasound tech to write the gender on. Thanks to whomever posted that idea. We will likely open it.

We are planning to open our card on my fiancé's birthday the week after next. I was hoping to not find out but I can tell he really wants to know. I thinks it's a girl since I think I saw some girl parts during the US orngtongue.gif

You can add me to team blue!  This is our third baby and the first time we found out. It was fun! Had the scan today and it was pretty obvious once the tech was able to get the right angle.  Due 9/8.

Congratulations!!

Each month must be different when it comes to boy dominance or girl dominance. My midwife has delivered girl after girl this month!

It's funny how it works out that way. I've been watching a UK series called One Born Every Minute, and in this series most of the babies born were boys. It was weird.

Letnialynne, sounds like a good time to open it. My husband wants to know more than i do too, but i tend to hate surprises so who knows if we'll wait at all...
The local sutter hospitals used to have a billboard up with each months boy/girl count. It was usually pretty close on such a large scale.

We are having a girl! We decided to find out to ease choosing a name and because i hate surprises but we aren't telling friends or family.

Congrats, oceansolitude! We are not planning on telling anyone we know the sex, either- I wonder how long we'll last!

My scan is 5/5 hopefully. Aidenn-- what is this testing to tell gender you can get? I've never heard of this. I'm really feeling boy but I could be wrong. I wasn't with DD. I knew her since the beginning. Mothers' intuition is so neat and usually so accurate. After all kaiser tried to tell me I wasn't even pregnant to begin with. Duh!

Wow-- this DDC is ALL boys right now! And team green, I think it's great and natural to wait till birth. I just like some of the other moms on here cannot stand to not know. I guess I like to plan though you can never really plan things around babies IMHO! Ha! I'm a control freak... *sigh*

Thanks Jenny I'm wondering how long it will last too... I think my husband or I will mess up at some point...
Thanks nettlesoup.

Thread Starter

tillymonster - The MaterniT21 testing is actually genetic testing done to test for certain trisomies early on in pregnancy.  I know a few moms on here had it done for high risk purposes, but it's still pretty pricey, so many insurance companies do not pay for it yet.  A side effect of the test is it can tell you if Y chromosomes are floating around in mom's bloodstream (thereby indicating mom has a boy).

Well we had our anatomy screen on Friday and managed to not find out the gender! Woohoo! Glad to have that temptation gone. We told the ultrasound tech that we didn't want to know, so she tried not to go to that area much. Still, I thought I saw girl parts and DH thought he saw boy parts, so we for sure don't know! Guess we'll find out in about 20 weeks smile.gif

I had my US today and I'm on team blue! EDD is now 9/25 (my dad's day!)

My DH was hoping for a little girl but I told him "next time..." wink1.gif

Wow congrats! Are my chances higher for getting a girl because all you ladies are having boys? Ha! The naming thread should be interesting and we might have some overlap! wink1.gif
