HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE!!!! how are you celebrating??

Wow, I didn't even realize it was today!
How sad!

While we didn't do anything, we did enjoy playing outside today, watering our plants and bushes and just enjoying being outdoors.

It was a really nice afternoon

I teach English to speakers of other languages (ESOL), and I had the pleasure of introducing 24 immigrants to the concept of Earth Day! I drew a big Earth on the board, introduced the words "pollution" "reduce, reuse, and recycle", and (without using these terms) discussed the problem of the "ecological footprint" of the American lifestyle. Members of class brought up problems with refrigerants and aerosols and the ozone layer, and we had a great conversation! None of the 24 members of my class, however, had ever heard of Earth Day.
I feel good about my contribution to the cause!
