What's the best back up that won't irritate the cord stump? With my first, I just used sposies until the stump fell off. With my second, I did a prefold belt, but I had problems with the cord stump and belly button healing properly. Advice?

My kids wear the prefold belt down around their hips. Nowhere near their belly buttons. If you pull it higher in the back, there will be less material in the front and it won't rise so high.post #5 of 53/23/13 at 1:22pm- AndreaOlson

If it's warm enough there I'd just cover with a blanket and have a prefold or something underneath him til the cord falls off. I didn't use anything for my son until that happened (it was also the hot summer!).
