HELP! Is my whole cloth diaper stash ruined?

I'm devastated because I found a rag soaked in toxic grout sealer in with the washer of cloth diapers and now my whole stash smells like fumes! Our diapers are primarily organic cloth so this is an extra blow. I'll keep washing them until the smell comes out, but what would you do? Do you think the diapers have been damaged? Would you throw a $500 stash out to avoid possibly exposing your baby to such toxins? What would you do?!

I would call the grout sealer company and ask them. I would think if it was so toxic then it shouldn't be on your grout where you walk or bathe you know?

Maybe rubber band one to your arm and wear it all day and see if it irritated your skin. Maybe even call poison control. I would exhaust all options before throwing them away.

You could try soaking them in vinegar and baking soda.  Hang them outside for like a week in the sun.  The sun and air have amazing cleansing properties as well.  Then wash them some more!  But no, I wouldn't toss them either.  Keep trying, and keep us updated!

If your washer has an "auto soak" option I might try that with some RLR laundry treatment...that's what I use when my diapers have the stinkies. Maybe stripping them will strip the smell too? Good luck!
