owlhowl - how many dpo are you? what is your usual LP like? (I think I mentioned upthread my LP jumped from 13 days to 17 one month - crazy! - maybe it's just the vitamin effect?)
orrrr...maybe another test?
Then we could all at least speculate with you, so you wouldn't be alone!
I know TCOYF basically says making it to 18 dpo is as good as a positive test...BUT - when I was 18 dpo without AF, I did some searches on here, and found women who had AF come around 20-21 dpo. Also, if you were even a day or two off on your o date (which is easy to do), then you may still be ok?
I would be testing, but that's me. Sending some zen vibes your way!
Oh owlhowl! I know you must be spinning, but I do want to say congratulations, and I hope you find a way to peace (and joy) with this pregnancy. I know you said you and DH talked about it not being a bad thing, so that is comforting (even if hypotheticals are easier to digest than !)
Definitely keep us posted and feel free to talk through your feelings here.
Congrats! I am betting it's a girl!
Congratulations, owlhowl. I hope that your DH finds peace in this quickly.
Lactatinggirl, I'm not sure I'd worry about a thing. Prolactin and progesterone are antagonistic towards one another. Hence the low progesterone while lactating and the low milk supply while breastfeeding. Vitamin B6 taken with a Vitamin B complex is likely to tip the balance in favor of progesterone. This could help make your charts more easy to read, take some of the strange breastfeeding signs away, make it more possible to conceive.... and reduce your milk supply some. I know your baby is really a toddler now, and she would probably be fine, but while your focus is nursing and not conceiving, realize that pretty much anything falls into the range of normal. Sure, you don't want to be deficient in B vitamins, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get extra beyond that... unless you want to!
owlhowl My guess is girl because I conceived my youngest DD exactly the same way you got this little babe . . . DTD five days before a surprise early O! I also had to have a pregnancy dream before I tested with DD1. Funny how our bodies know what's going on before we do! Congrats again! When is your due date?
Hi BallardBaby! Welcome! I usually check my mucus at my cervix to differentiate between the types of mucus. Your mucus pattern definitely sounds fertile, but it could be eggwhite, watery, or creamy depending. Oftentimes the mucus isn't prolific enough to make it to the toilet paper, but you'll find some at your cervix that you can look at on your finger and differentiate between creamy, watery, and eggwhite :) You are correct about CD1, the first day of actual *flow* is CD1...not spotting. Good luck and happy charting! I'm envious of your long time of lactational amenorrhea!!! I only got 5 months with my first and 9 months with my second (tandem nursing). I'm on my 5th cycle, expecting my period tomorrow or the next day to start my 6th cycle.
