HELP! Natural remedy for yeast rash in diaper area

My son has a yeast rash in his  diaper area and my doctor told me to use some athlete's foot cream to get rid of it. I know there is a natural remedy out there... anyone know what it is? Do I need to do anything to his cloth diapers, too? TIA!

Tea tree oil diluted in a carrier oil or coconut oil can be very effective against yeast.

Plain yogurt, applied to clean, very dry skin.

Yes, very dry... use a hair dryer after washing and use cotton diapers, or let him be naked as much as possible. Do not moisturize because that just traps the yeast in the skin and gives a nice damp breeding ground. Small amounts of zinc cream on the worst spots can be helpful. And yes, some diluted tea tree oil should kill the fungus.
