It has been in the news lately that taking a folic acid supplement at least 2 months before conceiving can now reduce the risk of Autism. Maybe it's a tiny piece, but we won't get into that now.
I was talking with someone about drinking Kombucha while pregnant and mentioned it's full of folic acid so it's good for me. She informed me that folic acid doesn't get used by the body. There are other articles and information of course, but I just now am learning this. I will be discussing this with my midwife at my next appt. Thought I would share.
