Spotting Frustration

So, I took tests at 9 and 11 dpo and they were both negative.  I haven't tested again and I'm at 13 dpo.

I'm having some spotting confusion here.  At 7 dpo, I have very brief brown spotting (just one occurence).  Then at 11 dpo, I had a yellow-ish CF (again just one occurence).  Today, at 13dpo, the brown spotting came back. 

Can I assume that I'm not pregnant and that my period is being strange?  I'm 36 years old.  Or could I still be pregnant?

Some women have implantation spotting and spotting in early pregnancy.  9 and 11 DPO is pretty early to take a test. They aren't very accurate at that point.  The longer you wait, the more accurate they are.  I would take another test tomorrow morning if I were you.  Good luck!
