I am pregnant with my second and am trying to take some preemptive measures... Last time I developed a pretty severe case of PUPPP (a pregnancy rash). It miraculously mostly cleared up for a week or two before my delivery, but then returned a week afterwards. I know that it's still lurking around, because every so often I get the same little bumps on my hands or belly. Last time my Virginia midwife said she had seen success with acupuncture, but mine cleared up before I actually had an appointment. Now, I am looking for an acupuncturist in this area who might be able to help! I just don't know how to choose someone, and it's hard to guess around if I'm going to be spending a bunch of money on every appointment. If anyone has a recommendation for an experienced, competent, and compassionate acupuncturist (maybe particular experience with pregnancy or skin conditions is a plus?), please let me know!
