Stormi- Glad things are going well! I didn't have a planned induction with my first, but received pitocin during a long labor like Mama505. Things were definitely more intense after that, but i still delivered without an epi and naturally. Hope that helps!
Edelwiess: We announced to family around 12 weeks and close friends after that. I just finally posted something on FB, but even there I have a very small circle of friends. I think its okay tell as many or as few people as feels comfortable.
Carmen: Glad you had a good MW visit too.
AFM: My midwife appt was wonderful. I was a little annoyed because she was running late, and I was hungry and tired, but i think we both warmed up to each other. she has been at the practice for almost 20 years, highly experienced, kind and gentle. No guarantee that she with deliver my baby but it was wonderful to meet with her. We scheduled my next two appointments with two other MW's in the practice (there are 6 total) so I will get to know them each a little bit. Then i can choose if I want to keep doing that or pick one and stick with them for the rest of the pregnancy. She checked baby, measuring right on schedule and HB mid 140's-150's. Love hearing it :)
Had my 4th and probably final phone interview with a doula today. Really experienced, cost a little high, lovely perspectives but she talked, ALOT. I am not sure i (or DH) can handle that. There is another doula partnership (2 doulas that work as backups) that I am leaning towards. They are local (one town over) have attended births at the birth center and just seem really easy going, knowledgeable and supportive (and in my price range). I think i will meet them in person next. If i don't like them then i will try meeting with this other one to see if we click better in person.
