I live in Clark County Ohio and I'm trying to learn more about unschooling/homeschooling. I would love to befriend someone near by so I can have some much needed support and help. I've looked on Yahoo groups but found nothing for my area. I feel like I'm the only one around here that is doing it. My children are 71/2 and 6. They will be going into 1st and 2nd grade next year which is when I'm wanting to keep them home. Our schools here are horrible and hard! My children are learning things I didn't touch until I was must older! They are so overwhelmed with all of the work that they have to do. My oldest is ADHD, ODD and has a mood disorder, and my 6 year old is ADD. So school is really a headache for us all! Any advice or direction is very much appreciated.
