This is what my good freind sent to me that uses essential oils for everyhting...Thought I would sahre. I am for sure going to use some of theses suggestions during labor.
This is very lengthy....

This is from the Essential Oils Desk Reference:
Essential oils can be invaluable companions during pregnancy. Oils like
lavender and myrrh may help reduce stretch marks and improve the elasticity
of the skin. Geranium and the blend Gentle Baby have similar effects and can
be massaged on the perineum (tissue between vagina and rectum) to lower the
risk of tearing or the need for an episiotomy (an incision in the perineum)
during birth.
Single Oils: Lavender, myrrh, geranium.
. Jasmine with lavender, myrrh, or geranium.
. Helichrysum with fennel, peppermint, ylang ylang, or clary sage.
Blends: Gentle Baby, Joy, Magnify Your Purpose, Envision, and Valor.
To use during labor:
. 4 drops helichrysum
. 4 drops fennel
. 2 drops peppermint
. 5 drops ylang ylang
. 3 drops clary sage
Mix in 1 ounce of V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base. Apply only after labor
starts. Massage on reproductive Vita Flex areas on the ankles. Also rub on
lower stomach and lower back.
Diffuse Gentle Baby to reduce stress before and after the birth. Expectant
fathers may also wear Gentle Baby to reduce anxiety while waiting for
delivery.

Here's a post from an oils user:
From Rich & Shauna Dastrup:
Thank you Pat for sharing....congratulations grandma!
My daughter just had a bouncing baby boy 2 weeks ago. We used the oils all
thru her pregnancy and she felt great. she had a 9lb3oz baby and her tummy
got huge! she used gentle baby mixed with v-six on her tummy and got no
strechmarks even getting as big as she did! She tore terribly with the
delivery of her first baby(also 9lbs) this time she used geranium and
lavender for 3 weeks prior to delivery on her perineum and only tore a tiny
bit. we used the oils in the hospital when she needed to relax (I used roman
chamomile, lavender, and geranium mixed together) and all the nurses thought
the room smelled wonderful as well as making my daughter relax enough to
focus. we used valor on the baby one hour after he was born. we have used
ditone (diluted)on him for gas and tummy distress with wonderful results,
and have used forgiveness on his big brother's ears when he gets his nose
bent out of shape because of the baby getting more attention from mom than
him. I just wish I had the oils when I had my babies. Life would have been
so much easier!...
Thank you for all your help!
Sincerely, Pat Foth
I have done oils for seven friends at their births in the last year.
(and one fifteen week miscarriage, complete with four hour labor,
of my own.)
If this were me...I would do a few things:
FIRST...I would work with oils and mom's diet to see if she can
avoid that induction!!! (inductions are HELL!!!)
Look at PROTEIN!!! Pregnant mothers need between 80 and 100 grams
a day! (I KNOW...I was induced with my first son because of PIH...
Pregnancy induced hypertension...which is a medical term for LAZY
DOCTOR!!! It turned out that I needed to EAT better, and it would
all have been avoided! *sigh*)
ALL women have increased blood pressure in pregnancy!
FIGHT this...please!
(I have Witt's story up at my website...if she wants to read it!
www.jessicawild.com)
SECOND...If she will not modify her diet...look at oils to
help the blood pressure issue! (Do you have an EODR?)
NOW...If she is fine and dandy with the induction...well then...
here are some ideas for support during labor.
If she manages to avoid the epidural that the nurses will push
on her...then these will help...otherwise...just make her comfortable...
and work AFTER to cleanse her body from the epidural drugs!
In past births, we have used a lot of citrus oils (diffused and/or
mom holding the bottle to smell...and massaging with them diluted!)...
they smell clean and fresh, and the nurses/husbands don't complain much...
If you are gutsy...I would reach for ANY and ALL emotional oils!
I will DEFINITELY have a bottle of Highest Potential at my birth in
February! *grin*
I also REALLY like Release, Harmony, Surrender, Acceptance, Peace
and Calming, BELIEVE, En-R-Gee, Gentle Baby, Into the Future,
Motivation, Trauma Life, Valor, White Angelica and OF COURSE ROSE!!!
(We had Rose at a friend's birth a few months ago...and the energy
in the room was so powerful we were ALL moved to tears frequently...
it was AMAZING!!! I will DEFINITELY be splurging for bottles of Rose
and Frankincense for my next birth!!!)
We have found that Clary Sage on the ankles will strengthen weak
contractions...and that Lavender in the same place will make contractions
that are un-bearable more bearable.
We also use Fennel RIGHT after baby is born to increase milk supply!
(works WONDERS!!! just four quick drops on the tongue, and chase it
with a glass of water!)
And...be sure that mom is drinking LOTS of water with Lemon or orange
oil in it!!! It will help her body get rid of any toxins, and help
milk come in faster!
For back labor, we have used Peppermint and/or Panaway...but peppermint
works faster...baby turns away from the cold, and mom's back labor eases!
For stalled labor, I would look at EMOTIONAL blocks...and fears!
(and reach for any emotional oil that smells good to her!)
For a labor that is too overwhelming, I would look to Believe oil.,..
the Balsam in it has GREAT pain properties, IMO, and the frankincense
will raise frequency and hopefully give mom a boost!
Just a few ideas...if you need any on specifics, let me know...this is
my latest passion! *grin*

I was just in the delivery room with a friend in May, we used the recipe in
the
book for labor, the were going to send her home when her labor pains started
to
go away, we start rubbing the the recipe on her ankles and abdomin, within
20
minutes the nurse came back checked her out and said what just happened in
here, you are in full labor.........The wonderful oils,.....I also used
aroma
sieze on her back when ever she had back pain, she loved it........I think
panaway would be good too........
Does your neice have high blood pressure and swelling? I would use the the
oils of fennel, tangerine, cypress and purification in a rub down. I am in
my
7th month and am experiencing some mild swelling, I take a capsule of orange
it
just goes a way, I also rub down my feet, hands and legs with
cypress.......hope this helps......Penny;>

1/2 Tb. jojoba oil
1 Evening Primrose oil capsule (approx. 10 drops)
2 drops Tangerine
1 drop Lemon
4 Cypress
4 Lavender
3 Geranium
This can be used all throughout pregnancy. Relax on the sofa with your
legs raised by pillows. Apply the oils to your feet, ankles and legs,
massaging toward your heart to help circulation. The help
of your partner would certainly be appreciated.
Pregnant Itchy Skin Blend:
2 1/2 Tb. Almond oil
1/2 Tb. jojoba oil
1 Evening Primrose capsule (approx. 10 drops)
1 Vitamin E capsule (approx. 10 drops)
4 drops Tangerine
4 drops Geranium

(Gentle Baby and Prenolone+ cream also work well on stretch marks).
Three Weeks Before Delivery:
8 drops Geranium
5 drops Lavender
1 oz. almond oil
Mix and rub on the perinea three times a day. This helps to soften the
cervix and thins the membrane to get ready for delivery. (This really
works, as I have used it twice on my daughter adn the doctors could not
believe that she was already thinned out when she came into the hospital.
Her second baby came in 4 hours, from start to finish, and she only had
1/2 an hour hard labor!
One Week Before Delivery:
8 drops Geranium
5 drops Lavender
5 drops Fennel
1 oz. almond oil
Apply this on the perinea to further get it ready.
Labor Diffusing Blend:
40 drops Lavender
37 drops Frankincense
21 drops Ylang Ylang
20 Chamomile Roman
Diffuse into birthing room, if possible.
Labor Cooling Compress Blend:
10 drops Jasmine
5 drops Chamomile R
5 drops Geranium
20 drops Lavender
Use in a bowl of water; swish a wash cloth and use to cool mom's head
and face.
During Labor:
4 ddrops Helichrysum
4 drops Fennel
2 drops Peppermint
5 drops Ylang Ylang
3 drops Clary Sage
1/2 oz. mixing oil
Apply only after the labor starts. Massage inside the ankles, on little
toes, little fingers and lower tummy and back.
Afterbirth Blend:
10 drops Geranium
15 drops Jasmine
Use with a carrier oil to help expel placenta and tone the uterus.
General Notes for Good Labor and Delivery:
*Encourage labor: Jasmine, Clary Sage
*Uterine tonic: Jasmine, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, Nutmeg
*Antidepressant: Roman Chamomile, Franincense, Geranium, Jasmine,
Lavender
*Pain killer: Roman Chamomile, Jasmine, Lavender

The blend of oils called Gentle Baby is described below...
This is a beautiful combination of therapeutic-grade essential oils for
mothers and babies. It is comforting, soothing, relaxing, and may be
beneficial during the birthing process and for reducing stress during
pregnancy. It helps reduce stretch marks and scar tissue. Gentle Baby
enhances a youthful appearance of the skin, improving skin elasticity and
smoothing wrinkles. It is particularly soothing to dry, chapped skin, and
diaper rash (dilute 1-3 drops in ½ tsp. carrier oil).
Contains:
Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii) is helpful for all types of skin problems,
such as candida, rashes, and scaly and flaky skin. It stimulates new cell
growth, moisturizes and speeds the healing process. It is antimicrobial,
antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. It is supportive to the nervous
and cardiovascular system. Palmarosa is stimulating and soothing.
Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) has been used for centuries for skin care,
especially the skin of pregnant mothers. It revitalizes tissue and nerves
and assists in balancing hormones. It is antispasmodic, a relaxant,
anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, antibacterial, antifungal and supports
the liver, pancreas, and kidneys. Its aromatic influence helps release
negative memories, thus opening and elevating the mind.
Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) may calm and relieve restlessness,
tension, insomnia, muscle tension, cuts, scrapes, bruises, and is
anti-infectious. It may relieve allergies and expel toxins from the liver.
It is used extensively in Europe for the skin.
Rose (Rosa damascena) possesses the highest frequency of the oils. It
creates a sense of balance, harmony, and well-being and elevates the mind.
Rose promotes healthy skin, reduces scarring, and may help with chronic
bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, sexual disabilities, frigidity, impotency,
skin disease, ulcers, sprains, wrinkles, thrush, and gingivitis. It also
promotes healthy skin.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is known as the universal oil because of
its wide range of usage. It is beneficial for skin conditions, such as
burns, rashes, and psoriasis. Lavender's sedative and calming properties
help overcome insomnia, headaches, stress, and nervous tension. It is
antispasmodic, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, and
anticoagulant. It prevents scarring and stretch marks and relieves headaches
and PMS symptoms.
Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora) is soothing and nourishing to the skin. It has
been researched at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah in Ogden, Utah for
its inhibition rate against gram positive and gram negative bacterial
growth. This oil is soothing, creates elasticity, and helps the skin rid
itself of irritations and problems, such as candida. It is anti-infectious,
antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and antiparasitic.
Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) helps bring about a sense of relaxation.
Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is one of the most uplifting fragrances,
simultaneously energizing and calming, with a unique ability to relieve
anxiety, stress, and tension.
Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) is beneficial for dry, greasy, irritated, or
sensitive skin. It is used for muscle spasms, sprains, coughs, laryngitis,
frigidity, depression, and nervous exhaustion. Jasmine is uplifting and
relieves anxiety and hopelessness.
Lemon (Citrus limon) has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds
that have been studied for their effects on immune function. It increases
microcirculation, which may improve vision. It may serve as an insect
repellent and may be beneficial for the skin. It has been found to promote
leukocyte formation, dissolve cellulite, increase lymphatic function, and
promote a sense of well-being. Its fragrance is stimulating and
invigorating. Lemon has shown to be antidepressant (Komori, et, al, 1995)
Safety Data: If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician
prior to use. May be irritating to those with sensitive skin. Avoid eye
contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure
vegetable oil in the eye and call your doctor if necessary. Never use water.
Application: Diffuse, apply over mother's abdomen, on feet, lower back,
face, and neck areas. Dilute with V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base for
full-body massage and for applying on baby's skin.
Companion Oils: Lavender, Roman chamomile, Rose, or Sensation.
Fragrant Influence: Relaxing, calming, creating memories of childhood.
Note: For Baby: Dilute by 1/2 with V-6 Mixing Oil or massage oil base. Apply
to the feet, abdomen, back, face and neck.

relieving stress and anxiety, and to prevent scarring and create a calm and
peaceful feeling. Massage on the perineum to help it stretch for easier
birthing.
