Pregnancy signs and 22month old nursling

Thread Starter

Hi!  I am new here.  I have a 22 month old son who nurses twice daily and numerous times at night.  I got my period back when he was 15 months.  I have been super regular since, ovulating like normal with 28 day cycles.  This past week my husband and I had a contraception break the day before I was to ovulate.  I am now 8 dpo and nursing my son is excruciating.  Both my breasts and nipples are hurting like mad.  It hurts so badly my stomach gets sick just thinking about it.  For those of you who have conceived while BF, did you experience this?  It is too early to test and I am freaking out a little.  If it happens we will gladly accept a new life it will just take some adjustment as this wasn't our "plan".

Thanks,

Melanie

It did start to hurt to nurse once I got pregnant but it wasn't immediate. I think we all respond differently to hormones though so it wouldn't surprise me at all if you already felt it. You may well be expecting smile.gif. FWIW it took a blood test around week 5 to confirm pregnancy for me, the urine test gave me an ambiguous reading and a false negative. I also conceived ahead of schedule. We planned to start TTC this March but succeeded without trying in late October lol.

My breast hurt so so much! It was excruciating pain! DS was 8 months when I got pregnant with twins. Now surviving twin is 15 months and for get I pump exclusively 3 x day now. I'm pregnant again but thus time it hurt bad for just a few weeks and it has subsided.
