I just can't get down with the dairy free cheese substitutes. So processed. I make a pretty tasty "cheese" sauce with raw cashews, nutritional yeast, garlic, random spices, braags and almond milk. Blend it up and BAM -- cheese like goodness. I have added it to pasta, used it as a dip and have put it on pizza. Pretty tasty. When we went dairy free, I gave cheese a farewell wave and became comfortable cooking better alternatives. Sure, my kids weren't exactly thrilled at first, but they're cool now. They have new favorite foods now -- and when we're feeling nostalgic we get down with a cheeseless pizza and it's awesome. Good luck, Mama!

Yes, Make your own nut cheese, my 3yo veggie loves it.  Just don't expect it to take like cheese, it is something different, just with a similar tang.  There are a ton of recipes online.  I like ones with a little onion powder and garlic and lemon.  The recipes might be a bit intimidating at first, but once you try them, you'll realize they are actually pretty easy.
