Just a little PSA to warn you about people wearing perfume holding your newborn.
Yesterday afternoon I had to go into work for a couple of hours to issue payroll (the joys of being a business owner...) and one of my best girlfriends came up to the shop to meet the baby. I wasn't even thinking, and I'm sure she wasn't either, but she was wearing perfume (not overly offensive or anything.)
Afterwards we went to my IL's house for dinner and my SIL was also wearing perfume and held the baby for about 10 minutes.
I didn't notice it before, but once we were home I realized that my yummy smelling newborn still smelled like my friend and SIL's perfume and NOT like himself. It bothered me ALL NIGHT last night and I can still smell it faintly now. They absolutely meant no harm but I'm so sad because that earthy newborn smell only lasts for so long as it is and this is our last baby so I'm never going to be able to smell THAT smell on MY baby again. Thankfully the perfume is wearing away and I'm starting to be able to smell "him" again.
Just wanted to put the bug in your ears so it doesn't happen to you guys too!!
