Hey OP, I'm sure you've found someone by now, but in case anyone else in the area is searching I thought I'd still post.
We used Kim Garrett of Dearborn Midwifery. She works hand in hand with Jane Kirby, but you can chose to have one or both of them attend your birth. My sister picked Jane as her midwife and Kim attended as well but stayed really hands off and in the background. My sister said she didn't even know she was there. She was basically there as a back up.
I found (and have heard) that Jane is more hands off and Kim is a little more hands on. I wanted a hands off birth, but I met Kim first and really clicked with her. She was VERY respectful of my desire to have a hands off birth. She did offer all the normal tests, and I chose to do some and not others. She compromised with me on a lot. I didn't want ANY doppler use, cervical checks, or any of that. She never once asked me if she could check me, and during the birth only used the doppler once or twice in between contractions. She let my fiance catch our son and I could kind of tell that she is normally not that hands off but she was a dream during the process and was totally accomodating to what I wanted. She also worked with us on a payment plan to make it doable for us financially to have the home birth we so desperately wanted. I would have her again in a heart beat. She is licensed and is a TM, CPM and LM and Jane is a TM and CPM. They have a facebook page for Dearborn Midwifery or you can just google them.
