Weekly Chat ! ´*´*´ April 8-14 ´*´*´ - Page 3

As the owner of a Lab/Corgi mix, I definitely agree with the big dog on short legs theory.  Other than being on short legs, my dog is very much a big dog.  Unfortunately, he's a horrible burglar deterrent, unless the burglar is afraid of being licked to death.  He's not a barker, but that is a big pro for me.

I haven't been able to sleep at night until 1 or 2 am because of bloating.  I haven't been drinking much soda, so IDK what's up.  Anyone have any anti-bloating (or pro-farting, I'm game for anything at this point) ideas?

Dakipode: We live in a not-super-friendly suburb (not terrible, but not great). There have been a few break-ins in our street, and our back door doesn't lock and it isn't hard to get around the back. BUT we've never had a problem because we have two dogs :) they are crazy friendly and love everyone, but the burglars don't know that! And I think they are deterred by the noise the dogs would make if they broke in.

Wow! You are making me feel lazy with my part-time freelancing job that is taking every inch of willpower in my body to keep going!!! Good on you and congrats!

We are waiting with baited breath on an official job offer after DH nailed the second interview. He's pretty sure it'll happen because this position was referred by a previous coworker-- not something he applied for. But we've had this happen before. Get all excited about a prospective job coming. Then it just never happens. It's pretty common for his industry for jobs to disappear into thin air.

It's not like there is any pressure. It's only the ONE job interview he's gone on since Feb. yikes! Hoping for the best!

Then there is moving. I need a washer dryer and if I can swing it-- central ac, a bit of a yard, a patio and a garage even would be so great!!! The price range for this will be more then we are paying and we are so afraid to pay more. What if he loses a job again? Lots of stressors here because I can't really go back to work huge and pregnant or even worse-- with a newborn. It would be devastating for me.

Another thing I wonder-- how many moms use the 2nd bdrm as an office rather than childs bedroom? I'm seriously considering it. I need a space and quite frankly-- DD sleeps with me and doesn't need her own room. Once the baby comes I was hoping they both would co-sleep in DDs twin smooched up against our queen! Not sure of those logistics but we would keep a bed in the 2nd room-- just not as a "bedroom" for DD or this new baby. Is that weird!?!?
