Move That Body! - Page 3
I take dance classes three times a week with my older daughters. I love it and had never been in such good shape. I also practice and teach (not currently) yoga. I love the cardio and muscle strength I've built with dance. So far I've been able to keep up pretty well. Sometimes I get winded easily now, but this past week has been a little better. I was thinking of doing more dances in the upcoming show, but it looks like I'll be in one, maybe two. But there will be tons going on with my three daughters, and I've danced all of the dances for my classes (7) pretty much all along, so I've decided I can be happy with that. The one I'm doing for sure is lyrical to "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. I'm finding it seems helpful so far to feel stronger muscles in my chest and along the sides of my abdomen to help support the pregnancy. Plus I've kept up my flexibility in my straddle splits which I didn't have before, so I'm hoping for a nice pregnancy and labor. :-)
Hey mamas! Who else is slowing down in their second trimester? I've slowed way down on the treadmill, and today, I just feel too tired. I hope to sneak a yoga video I found before my youngest wakes. I haven't tried this one, but I haven't found a prenatal yoga video that leaves me sweaty.
ugh. unfortunately me. I had food poisoning/24 hour bug last week and it just wiped me out, I've been so exhausted all week even though I was really only sick one day... I went back to the gym for the first time today and within 5 minutes of being on the elliptical my ears started plugging up and I could heart my heart really loudly. Does that happen to anyone else? I read it has to do with water retention/blood volume... but i also remember it would happen to me before but only when I would exercise really really way too hard. Now it's like the tiniest bit of exertion and I can't hear and it's really distracting. i feel physically find besides that, but holy hell it's annoying. I'm hoping next week I get a little more energy back, I'll be 19 weeks on Sunday/Monday.
does mowing the lawn count?! I hope so. My lawn mower's self propulsion is broken most of the time (like on hills) so I have to push the thing around. I'm going out to do some weed wacking in a minute and I'm deciding that counts too.
I did go for a real walk yesterday but no "official" exercise for me in a while now. Just yard work and playing with DS
wildgreen- I am totally impressed. I've been having a lot of ligament pain whenever I really get going. I probably would have been keeled over after the first couple miles of that.
