Fertility Friend Issues

Thread Starter

Greetings,

Would love a little advice on an issue with Fertility Friend. Last month it indicated I didn't ovulate (which I don't agree with because I had all the symptoms and positive OPKs). This month it forcasted that I ovulated on the 6th but also notes "ovulation not predicted yet."

Today (the 9th) I am having symptoms (egg white CF, softening of C, rise in temp and faint positive on my OPK). Does FF adjust once it recognizes symptoms? It is still saying ovulation not predicted.

My temp runs low to begin with and I tend to have slightly shorter cycles ranging between 25-26 days.

Just when I think I have this charting thing down, I get confused.

Any advice much appreciatedblowkiss.gif

Can you post a link to your chart?  That may help some mama's help you figure out what is going on.

Was last month your first month with FF?  It may not have enough months prior to make any predictions.  I would say that you most likely did ovulate, but maybe something funky happened with your temps?  Were you sick, did you drink one night?  lots of things can effect your BBT.

Good luck.

Thank you for your response! I have been charting since January (when we started trying). I was sick with a cold in March as a mater of fact. Aside from a fever the first day however, my temp was pretty consistent. Again it runs low-usually in the 96-97 range.

Here is a link to my chart:

I can only see your chart from this current cycle but not your last cycle. It looks like your body is moving on towards O this go around but more temps will surely tell the tale.

I added the prior month's chart. I don't have a VIP membership, so my ability to share all charts is limited:

So, will the chart adjust the ovulation date? It says based on info, I may ovulate soon, but I guess I'm not sure if it will adjust the calendar predictions.

Thanks for responding!

I have had the ovulation date change over time as more data points are put in so it may change as time goes on.

Yeah, FF can get snatchy with the CH's as you put in more info. Also, as you continue to input more information your predicted fertile times on your calendar will adjust. Hope this is your cycle! dust.gif

Sigh-still confused here. 4 days of positive OPKs. Today's was a bit harder to read but the test line was still just slightly darker than the control line. I have slightly shorter cycles at 25-26 days. Can I really ovulate this late? I have been reading that it can indicate your body is failing to released the egg, etc.

That's quite a dip and spike 6 and 7DPO! Are your cycles usually around 27 days? Oh! And how off were your white circle temps? If the time you took them is really off from when you usually take your temp you can use a temp adjustor if you like. Wonder what your chart's going to do lurk.gif .

My chart adjusted to state ovulation probably occured day 15. My cycle is usually 25-26 days. The temps should be pretty accurate. I temp within the hour everyday as soon as I get out of bed (I know I should probably be laying down).

hmm-ovulation symptoms have been different each month as well. Sigh-weird!2whistle.gif

Ok, popping back in real quick. My cycles have trended toward the shorter side as well as the years have progressed. My last cycle was 29 days and the four before that 25 days. I've had cycles anywhere b/w 23-29 days.

Yes, you can still O that late, your cycle will be longer (unless you have a short LP and we don't want that of course). I think it's a possibility that you did O CD19 based on your temps and backed up by your secondary signs. Sometimes it looks like our bodies are going to O then she changes her mind lol.gif , sometimes multiple times, and finally O happens. Sometimes we have annovulatory cycles a time or two a year and that's normal too. Going to have to keep watching (aaahhh the waiting game *yawn*). Time is the only answer to the riddle lol.

Temp times: When you say "within the hour" are you saying that you temp within an hour of your regular wake up time everyday (for example, you usually wake up b/w 6 and 7 AM and temp somewhere in there) or you temp within the hour of whenever you wake up and you don't have a regular wake-up time? And yeah, temp right when you wake up, before getting out of bed, brushing teeth, talking, anything. Wake up- - > grab thermometer- - >pop in mouth- - >record temp- - > proceed with day lol.

Gotta run!

Hi!

So I typically wake up at 7am or 8am and temp immediately upon opening the eyes.

Thanks for your observations-much appreciated! It just seems so weird to O this late. AF is due in 4 days and I just got a negative OPK today after a series of positives. y temp is still a bit elevated even though it has dropped a smidge.

Wait and see I guess:)
