Gliders - do you use one to nurse/hang out with your twins?

Where do you all sit to nurse your twins? Ours are due any day now, and I think we're as ready as we're going to be, except that we don't have a glider or nursing chair. With my DD, I used an old recliner, but we don't have it any longer.

Do you have a chair you love? Please share!

(Bonus points if it's not super expensive. My good friend who is a twin mom recommended this, but it is so not in our budget right now...)

Really I just used the couch most of all if I was tandem nursing. If there was just one then anywhere from the kitchen table, the bed, a bench, etc. I needed a nursing pillow and had a regular boppy plus a twin one which was a lifesaver when they were little. I just couldn't get the hang of only using pillows to prop both of them up.

Recliner.  I was not able to lay down for the first two weeks and I lived in that recliner.  I ate, slept, and even changed a diaper once.  I used one of the big twin nursing pillows and we would nurse and then sleep.  It was two weeks before I got them into the crib and was able to lay in my bed.

I have one with the nifty pull latch so you don't have to crank a lever.  It made all the difference to be able to put my feet up without having to lean over to one side.   I could not have reached the lever with the baby under my arm on top of the nursing pillow.

I really liked the recliner and couch with my DD and figure I will use that and the couch again with the twins. I don't like the movement of gliders either myself, so don't get one if you don't like it. I also like recliners with big poofy arms. And while I never BF while reclining, I did sleep with a baby on my chest while reclining many times in the early weeks, DH did too, so it was nice for that. I had a pile of pillows and a couple blankets I kept next to the recliner in DDs room and a table with a big glass of water, a clock and a few books. And same thing for the couch I used too. Definitely don't be afraid to build a nice nest for yourself smile.gif
