I love their pediatrician!

"The doctor is concerned that exposing the infant to the vaccination, which uses a live sample of the virus, could be dangerous.

The pediatrician has written to the DOE, also noting that the baby might have inherited her mother's immunodeficiency disease, but can't be tested for it until she's 1 year old."

All this trouble over Chicken Pox. Come on!

"Wagner is making arrangements for homeschooling, but in the meantime Frankie is being marked absent from school."

Good for you mama! Sorry it has come to this. The persecution continues....

It should be very concerning to all those in NY- your ped backs you and the school still views your child as a threat!

The Mail was not that clear but the other link is better and there are other reports of this. The Dr did write on their behalf and that was not good enough!!! WOW! scary

I would like to know how this figures into exemptions in NY - they must only be the child, not when you are threat to the sibling? I would think medical exemption with a Dr's note would be OK but apparently not!! So what would it take?
