Josephine Nima's birth story! (now with short version too, lol)

...or at least part one of it (I tend to try to remember every little detail).

You can find it at my livejournal, here:

http://thesaturdaygirl.livejournal.com/

Part two will be up either tonight or tomorrow...it's all written, but I need time to upload all the pictures and crop my butt out of a couple of them. Ha.

(You should also be able to see my son and daughters' birth stories (also in two parts each)...they're the only public entries on my journal)

For those who just want the short version, I'll post a little synopsis after part two is up.  :)

That is a great story so far. Its making me anxious as my baby has been burrowing, like you said, for the past 2 days; moving constantly trying any which way to come out it seems. Perhaps it means my labor is near too :)

What a beautiful story. How inspiring all of you Mamas are. Can't wait to read part two. Enjoy your babymoon Brooklyn.

Will cross fingers for you!  It was the weirdest sensation; I had never experienced it before.  By the time labor started she must have been scccccrunched into a tiny little ball mega low because (as you will read) my m/w kept having trouble finding her HB because it was so low!

Can't read LJ at work- can you talk more about the burrowing here, warbler? I'm curious if it's what I've been experiencing!

Wow, what a story! I felt like I was a fly on the wall! Beautiful, can't wait for more.

Wow. Beautiful! I think the fuzziness of the pics adds to them. She is beautiful!

I don't know how to describe it exactly, but basically the baby just felt like she was sort of being sucked downward really forcefully, and then she started to move in that direction too.  It was a totally strange sensation!  I guess some people would refer  to it as "dropping" but it was really extreme and I had never experienced it before!  I had it in the middle of the night, like 7 or so hours before I went into labor.

Thanks! Didn't get to uploading the pics tonight but I'm getting some time tomorrow afternoon because the grandparents are taking the two olders -- so I'll definitely update this thread tomorrow afternoon when the second part is up.

The one with the fuzzy pictures is my first birth story -- from my daughter Wren's birth.  :)

Thanks for sharing! It was truly an inspirational and love-filled birth story and well worth staying up way too late to read it last night.

Brooklyn - I have only been able to read through bits and pieces of your birth story but I love your writing style. Can't wait til my DD will et me sit here and actually read it all.

Heading over to read soon! Just wanted to point out that both myself and Jessmn are on LJ and part of the April DDC there. I wish I would have known you were also on there!

You are too sweet!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!  Ruth, I was a writer in my previous life.  Now I just ramble on LJ because midwifery school doesn't leave much time for writing!  :)

It's not too late! You can join the DDC if you want, though it's not nearly as active as here. I'm niftybitch on there though I write all baby updates in tiffanyandbaby. Add either or both if you'd like!
