Thanks ldies. My ob just stopped by and said since everyone is behaving that dinner is a go for me, thank God! So got that ordered and dh and dd are on their way to visit. I am still having contractions pretty often, but they arent doing anything so far. Baby girl was hiccupping an hour ago and was def head down, so who knows what might happen! Sorry to post so much here, but its easier from my phone. Thanks again ladies

Very good to be getting your updates, and so glad that they gave you some food. That's what I'm dreading most when I go in for my c-section. I can't believe your little girl flips so much! I'll be thinking of you!

Morning all, finally got some sleep, continuos monitoring with twins and sleep do not mix! I hope I get cleared for breakfast, I am already starving. Had one decel on baby girl last night, they think she was compressing her own cord. Otherwise just not much sleep. Did see my mom, dd and DH last night so that was great. My bp is still being a bit high when I'm on my back, even half sitting or whatever, fine when I am on my side. I can't keep doing this continuous monitoring thing, so we will see what the OB thinks after the can test all my urine. I think dd will go to daycare, DH to work and my mom will come see me and maybe do stuff around the house some too. Contractions mostly have calmed down on my side or with a hip elevated, so that's good. Well, timeto unplug monitors and pull my IV contraption around so I can collect more pee!

I'm on intermittent monitoring now (for 1 hr every 8 hours) and otherwise just waiting til 5pm or so. Mom is here with me at the hospital so that is nice. Got a little nap in and a shower and I'm eating and drinking as I want, so it's not too bad now smile.gif

Glad things are going okay, Katie! Keeping you in my thoughts!

I have to admit - I keep checking back here to see how you're doing, Quinalla!  It's hard to focus knowing it's so close to (or is already) go time for us all.

Assuming go time doesn't come for me before then, I'm doing a "maternity" shoot with a photographer friend this weekend where we're going to try to tackle/play with some pregnancy taboos, i.e. eating sushi, drinking booze, dyeing my hair, etc.  Anybody have any taboos/old wives' tales/fear monger-y stuff that particularly drive them nuts that I should include?

This is such an awesome idea!!

Hmm . . . eating soft cheeses (like a big wheel of Brie or something for visual impact), riding a horse, air travel past seven months, eating stereotypically weird combinations like pickles and ice cream . . .

What a fun idea! Eating deli meat, popping pills, smoking, using a hot tub, drinking coffee... or what I've most enjoyed avoiding: changing the cat litter.

Labs aren't back yet, but my OB stopped by and said they want to keep the babies in as long as I don't get worse, either worse labs, worse BPs, or start to develop bad headaches or seeing spots. And they want to keep me in the hospital. I think it is the right thing to do, but ugh being stuck in the hospital forever. I'll just be monitored twice a day, eat as normal and I assume some blood drawn every day and urine tests. Going to need some more books and DVDs thats for sure.

Well that's good that they want to give babies a chance to grow more!! Sorry that you have to stay in the hospital.. Maybe just take the time to relax as much as you can (like you have any choice..lol) before your babies come. Find a few good books along with some movies! Hope you don't get too bored. And I hope your family can visit lots!

ETA: just realized you said you would need some books and movies.. Lol. I totally skipped that in my head somehow when I was reading what you said. I blame it on the hormones wink1.gif hehe.

Oh Katie, to be stuck in the hospital! As I read that I thought, well, you are done with work! Sounds like they are approaching it well and you are doing well with it too, I hope you find some things to keep you occupied.

EPP - love the idea! Only thing I can think of that hasn't been named is getting a tattoo.
