Is screaming normal for a 1 yo?

Please don't laugh, I'm feeling stressed and tired, and I need some kind caring loving support.  Our 1yo teething toddler screams and cries a lot, mostly when he's teething, but he screams when we're about to feed him and in between bites, like a panicky impatient scream.  I imagine it's normal, but I'd like to hear it from other new parents.  We're concerned that it could become a bad habit, but maybe we're worrying too much?  I don't know.  It would help us feel better and reassure us a bit if the responses I get are in agreement and that this is temporary and he'll be fine.  It's not like he's screaming for no reason, but it's unsettling and unnerving.  Thank you.

Yes. My DD, now 20 months, went through a couple of screaming phases around a year old. It stopped for a while, then came back a few months later. Then stopped again. I don't know if she did it out of distress every time... Often it seemed like she was just declaring her presence in the world! When I really needed to discourage her from doing it, I'd just start talking to her in a whisper and she would often get quiet too. But I tried to balance that out by occasionally joining in on the shrieking with her. She got a real kick out of that, and I do think it helped the phase pass more quickly. Good luck.
