Figured I would start one new this week.
and of course, whatever else you want. This is just a thread for general chat and assorted mish mash:)
Much better this week but now I have a sore throat and can't take usual herbs that I make up... Which stinks!!
My MW called and moved the appt I was supposed to have tomorrow until Wednesday! I wish I could just go tomorrow but I will patiently wait.
I am trying to meditate at night before bed visualizing bringing breath in and down surrounding baby then exhale slowly to make me sleep better. I think it helps. I also have been trying to stretch and do squats daily. An exercise routine would be nice but hs'ing (playing with) an 8yo and a 5yo takes up alot of time. (plus time for this forum )
Weeks Along: 10 weeks
Feelings: Happiness and Excitement
Symptoms: nausea, fatigue, bloated, heartburn
Next Appointment: May 8th ( I get to hear the heartbeat then)
This is my first baby and I'm beyond excited. I'm 27 and I wasn't planning a pregnancy but I am with my dream man and we are so in love and have been for a long time. I just procured a great job with amazing health benefits and paid maternity leave so the timing could not have been better.
We are both musicians and are excited to bring another little musician in the world. I will be playing bass guitar throughout my pregnancy so I'm interested to see how my little jellybean will re-act to my bass lines and his/her daddy's drumming. :) I just hope we all stay healthy and happy during the pregnancy. Daddy and I are just so full of love and joy right now.
Hi Nov mamas!
Weeks along: 10 1/2
Symptoms: nausea, all day every day (sounds like yours, Jonesie's Girl and Sila!) ...so ready for that to go away. I've been a vegetarian for 8+ years, but had to give into my cravings for animal protein, so have been eating meat for a bit over a month now...all of my former staples (beans, legumes, veggies, etc.) literally make me retch:( Really hurts to nurse my littlest, though that happened with my first as well when I was pregnant with his sister...Heard our heartbeat twice last week- one in the back of my car with a good friend/midwife and the other at a more formal appt;) Both were between 165-172.
Kamiro- I'm totally going to try your juice! Juicing (when I can actually get it down) is the only form of vegetables I'm getting ATM...
Big hugs to all of you!
Thank you for starting the chat this week Mek :) <3
Sila is at a birth tonight so praying for extra strength for her and that a beautiful birth occurs!
Just wanted to update that today they found the heart beat right away - it was in the 140's and it was loud and clear. :) The OB/gyn guy was totally nice and totally not what I had feared expected. I still feel a little weird that a man was palpating my fat rolls, but no different than what I let DH do a few months ago...
Ok, bad joke.
Anyways, tomorrow they are asking me to come in for an ultrasound just to confirm dates and the like so I am totally on board for that cause I'll get to see my little kiwi!
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, those things truly help!
and...I guess my gut was right on, so score 1 for mama intuition. It still feels good to just have that confirmation. Wow! I'm so excited again!!!
Weeks Along: 11.3 weeks
Feelings: mixed...sad,YUCKY...mellow, tired and just Blahhhhhh
Symptoms: Totally nauseous and YUCKY
Next Appointment: None on the chart at this point
Still feeling as posted above...YUCKY all day everyday. Some brakes where I think I might be getting better, just to come back here again. It's my third and I'm 39, first time I worked the whole way through, felt great, last one with my DS I was in bed for three months puking and seeing no one. Very hard. This time was a easy until around week 7 then BAM! everything makes me sick, not allot of puking but still feel really bad and can do almost nothing all day. DH is amazing and home for the time being so this is a life saver. Hope to be better really soon....can't take too much more of this.
Hey gals, I am just popping in to (self centerdly) say that every thing at the u/s was good. :) Baby Kiwi was SOOOO adorable.
Sienna - sweetie pie baby bunbun..uh...too overboard on the baby talk? Sorry. Yay for healthy, growing babes!
Shanti/Holly - ugh. I am hoping that your m/s will miraculously disappear at the 12 week mark. That's when mine did! I'm still not hungry but then when I am hungry, some one better feed me. Juices I've been able to keep down though with no drama...maybe try that? M/s with little ones is very sucky. I'm sorry....now ignore my paragraph below about food.
We don't eat much meat but tonight I felt like I'd go all Hawaiian and quasi Native American on our Sabbath menu. We have buffalo meat loaf, and Hawaiian plate lunch style mac salad and sticky rice...and then I think I am going to throw some biscuits together..Never fear, there is some asparagus hanging out that will be eaten. By the time I am done making all of it I'll probably only be craving the asparagus ---- hahahahahahaha -- yeah, right.
Hawaiian plate lunch mac salad - come here my tangy goodness and try not to attach thyself to my thighs.
We are leaving for a week on Sunday, so I hope you all have a beautiful week and please send good thoughts and prayers my way (if you can) about my visit with mother in law and family!
Feeling incredibly painful - I had no idea it could hurt so bad. Hubby will get me cranberry bits today. It started quite suddenly, im sure it was drinking so much and holding it for the scan. Trying to rest but keep needing to pee and then it huuuuurrrrts. Just praying, i'll take the pain but just baby I worry for x
Hi, I'm 9+something wks. Feeling ok, super tired. More tired than I was with either of our boys. Nausea which is fine w/ me, lets me know all is ok. A little pressure/cramps from time to time. I have days where I'm hungry and some where I almost have to make myself eat because I haven't much appetite, which I think is odd. Still constipation issues off and on. I'll be happy to get past the bloating/constipation stage. Trying to get in as much fiber as possible. Almost completely do not want any poultry now, and I don't eat red meat. Though I had a grassfed burger last wk that was ok and sat ok. Yesterday I found gf ckn nuggets that were really good and I put a few in my salad. But if I roast a ckn, forget it, it's a no go :) So I'm looking at some trying to follow vegetarian sources of protein as much as possible, though I do eat eggs. Just odd food aversions this time. Maybe it's a girl.
Woke up a little stuffy today and can't really take much.
Sienna-you can take cranberry daily as a prevention, or drink straight cranberry, but the pills are more concentrated and helpful. And just drink a lot of water daily. I got a uti during our loss from the catheter and took cranberry because I was nursing and couldn't take abx (which I don't take anyhow). It worked. I also drank straight cb that week too and tons of water. They are no fun, I hope you feel better soon, and I'm sure the baby's ok.
Is anyone having bp problems?
Other than thinking my iron is low, I've had days where I just feel fuzzy, like when my bp shot up at the end with ds1. I checked it today and the avg from 3 was 122/80, with a heart rate as low as 86, high 99. I thought it would be a lot lower only being 9-10wks. My bp is normally low and even stayed low with both pregnancies except w/ ds1. Shouldn't it be lower? Going to check w/ my mw this wk, but thought I'd ask here too.
Hi thanks ladies, im still feeling poorly today, so will either see dr tomorrow or midwife for my scheduled appointment depending how I feel.
Drinking cranberry juice and loads of water, im finding it painful as my bladder fills up though.
Hippy mum - bp sounds ok to me but checking with your midwife sounds sensible xx
