Colic In Babies Linked With Later Migraines (STUDY)

As someone who was a baby with colic, and now has migraines, and who had a baby with colic, I'm very interested in this. I always felt like there was something truly bothering my daughter when she had colic. My migraines started with puberty, and my daughter isn't quite there yet, but I do worry she will get them.

The study adds to a growing body of research linking infant colic with migraines. For instance, a study presented last year at American Academy of Neurology meeting found that women who had migraines were about twice as likely as those without migraines to have babies with colic. (Migraines can run in families.)

The new findings suggest infant colic and migraines may be symptoms of the same underlying condition, said study researcher Dr. Luigi Titomanlio, of the pediatric emergency department at Robert Debré Hospital in Paris.

Does anyone else have any experience with colic and migraines, or any thoughts about this?

Hmmm maybe "truly bothering" isn't the wording I'm looking for. The pediatrician said it was probably just an immature neurological system or something, but I always felt like there was something else behind it. She ended up when she was older with reflux, so I've wondered if she could have had reflux as a baby as well, and if that could be the cause. But now, after reading this, I wonder if she'll end up with migraines.
