I am at 39 weeks. One more week until my due date. I had a week of early labor but then pretty much everything went away. Acupunture did not work. Pressure points are not working. I feel like nesting today but have no energy and can only get short bursts in before my hips start killing me. I do not feel birthy at all.

I was reading this on my phone and was going to join but then the last 2 days or so everything seems to be ramping up for me again. If it all stops again for another week I would probably be ok with that but if I just hangout in kinda-sorta-labor-land for another 2 weeks I will be getting antsy. Over all I feel pretty good except for a sore pubic bone but mostly I am just getting bored. I did another "last trip to the grocery store before baby", it's like my 4th "last trip". haha. Got a pair of jeans and a hoodie today that will hopefully fit within a few weeks after birth. Got DD a t-ball set since she is dying for DH's softball season to start up again. If this baby doesn't come soon we will be broke! I have already demolished our budget this month.

Last night I was really crampy. But today I'm feeling back to normal. We decided to set up the birth tub though, partly as a test run to see how long it takes to fill, and partly because I just want to relax in it (and our regular tub is super uncomfortable).

I've been sleeping a lot. And now I'm making chocolate chip cookies (just waiting for the butter to soften). It's my favorite cookie recipe ever. DH is impatient for things to get going (he just wants to meet this little guy) and he's guessing tomorrow for the birth date (ha!). I'm guessing the 27th (27 is a special number for our family, and it's just one day before my DD). DD (4) is guessing May 2nd (lol).

Cramping last night and some painful ctx this morning...but of course everything stopped once again. Most of the time I don't feel birthy at all. Been pretty tired lately though. Thank goodness my DH can go longer with less sleep than me. I'm thinking baby won't make an appearance until at least Weds if not this weekend.

Is nausea a sign of anything? What about insomnia? Been having bouts of both.

Not if I'm any indication.

I share your frustration everyone!  This waiting is awful and I realize I haven't even had to wait as long as some of you!

I am desperate for some sort of indication things will be starting soon.  I know most new moms feel this way but it's driving me nuts and I can't seem to distract myself.  Everyone keeps saying "he will come when he's ready" and that just makes me more frustrated.  I realize you all aren't doctors or anything but could you tell me if you think I sound close at all?

Today is the due date.  I woke up at 4:30am feeling nauseated and crampy with bad heartburn as well.  Ended up taking a sick day (my first sick day since I started there over a year ago) thinking things might get started today (things just felt different today).  TMI alert: I've had 5 bowel movements since about noon (it's 7:15 now).  That's really unusual for me and each time is accompanied with really awful cramps.  I walked for almost an hour and came back with pretty intense lower back pain and lot's of pressure in my lower abdomen.  Oh and more pelvis pain which had almost disappeared for the past day or so.  I've had cramps off and on but don't seem to come with a feeling of tightness in my stomach.. however..

This entire third trimester I've been completely unable to feel bh contractions.  I have had them at appointments with the midwives and when they tell me I'm shocked because I had no idea.  Sometimes I think I feel them but I'm really unsure because they don't come with pain usually.  I was pretty sure I was having some when I came back from the walk and they appeared to be about 10-12 minutes apart for 4 contractions and then I wasn't sure again.  Then I took a shower and at 6:59 I had my first contraction that I actually KNEW was a contraction.  It felt very tight and lasted 2 minutes and came with light cramping.  But now I haven't noticed anything (7:19 now).  Very frustrating.  Planning on taking another long walk tonight before bed.  I have a scheduled appointment with the midwives tomorrow morning and I just hope to God I'm at least a couple centimeters dilated.  If they can they are going to do a membrane sweep and then I'm going to see a chiropractor after that specializes in pregnant women.

I've felt sick to my stomach all day which is new but no blood or noticeable mucus plug to let me know if I'm getting close.  He feels lower though and he "dropped" two weeks ago today but there is more pressure down there as the day has gone on.  I'm hoping this just means I am in early labor (hey some women don't feel it at first right??) and don't realize it and will be surprised with my water breaking any minute but I fear it actually means I will be another week or so.  Which makes me want to cry because I'm so done with work and ready to hold my son.

I'm really trying not to think about it and just let things happen but I'm so excited to get started it's really tough.  And I keep reading stories about women who never knew they were in labor until they were really dilated and hoping I'm just one of those.  But I realize I'm probably getting my hopes up.

Just FYI...that is exactly how my day began yesterday...and obviously ended this morning with a baby.  It's the first time I've really gone into labor "on my own".

I got my membranes stripped today, and I was dilated to a 3!

Yay!  That's the kind of response I was hoping for, thanks.  I know everyone is different but I'm really hoping I will have a baby in my arms by tomorrow morning like you.  Just had another strong contraction hopefully it will continue.

I had mine stripped as well. Dilated 4 cm and 80% effaced. Baby is -1 station. They scheduled induction for me for Monday ( I will be 41+5) they told me they can't let me go any further. It's just hard for me to grasp since it is MY body and MY baby- why it is not MY decision?! I am so terrified of being induced. How am I going to avoid further interventions?! :'-(

OK. I think I'm mostly done with being pregnant now. It seems like I can't eat ANYTHING without getting heartburn (previously it was only certain kinds of food). I can't sleep (not that that will get any better with a newborn in the house, lol). I hate moving, but I also hate sitting all day. I feel huge, huge, huge. And I'm so cranky!

Had bad nausea when I went to bed last night. Took two Gravol to be able to sleep. MIGHT have lost some plug, but it wasn't at all bloody, so maybe not. This morning? Nothing (except tired). Frustrating but exciting.

Had some stronger cramping this morning, complete with lower back pain. So I went back to bed thinking I ought to rest up, just in case. Woke up and nadda. *sigh* I am officially getting impatient. Unless I have a sub-10 hour labor (my labor with DD was 36 hours), it looks like my guess for Theo's birthday will not be the right one. At the time we all picked our days, I worried I didn't pick an early enough one! lol  DH was out of the running as of Tuesday. The only guesses left are BIL (who guessed tomorrow, the actual due date) and DD (who guessed May 2nd).

I'm feeling about the same IronMam. Lots of contractions, some plug maybe, lower back pain. Still not sure anything is happening though. I'm due tomorrow too.
