we are like the ADHD nightmare family. It is rather ridiculous and I'd love to just ignore it, but there you go.
DH is diagnosed and started on MPH in August last year. I was diagnosed last year as well, started MPH in December, while still breastfeeding. I live in germany, and MPH was just listed for adult ADD.
DS is diagnosed, not taking any medication, but it is recommended on every letter from a psychiatrist. Won't go there just yet though. DD is diagnosed, not on medication. Both do have OT though, and we are doing family therapy. DH is doing Behavioural Therapy. (did not kick in yet)
I am taking a fish oil supplement with butter oil or something, because I read that this can reduce menstrual pains, and I figured if I take it anyway, I can as well add the butter stuff.
I cannot make the kids swallow any of these huge pills though.
I do drink a huge dose of coffee in the morning, which helps. We are on a traditional diet, but I cannot cut out sugar completely. Not even near completely. I might say kids have sugar all.the.bloody.time. (And I do live of sugar, since the MPH is seriously depressing my appetite)
@nettlesoup: How on earth did you manage to cut out sugar? I would love to but I cannot find a way. I do forget to eat all.the.time. I do forget to take snacks for the kids, and we all end up with cookies from the gas station. don't flame me, flame the ADD. Please.
