Hoping the unisom/B vitamin combo will stop it before it starts but I'm only 5 weeks and am already getting nauseous on occasion. I was on zofran with DD2 but that gave me complex migraines. Fun times. I doubt I will try it again.
Nausea already? - Page 2
Has anyone tried ginger tea? I am going to call th OB tomorrow to ask about it.
Hope everyone starts to feel better soon!
So far I am managing the mild nausea (5 weeks today!), I do sometimes worry that I am not throwing up yet, that is what the first trimester is usually like for me.
I feel ok if I'm horizontal so I've been lying on the couch all day. Otherwise I feel so so nauseous. No puking yet. Just feeling so gross. I have no idea how I'm going to fake it when I see my mother tomorrow... we're going to a dinner event with my parents and in-laws. I need to hide the fact that I'm nauseous, that I have a bloated pot belly, that I'm exhausted and would rather be in bed, and that I'm not drinking wine.
One thing that has helped me so far is one Benadryl at night, 50 mg of b6 morning and night, cal/mag supplelments, ginger tea and tablets, and an extremely low carb diet. I've heard/read that starchy foods make morning sickness much worse. I hope this helps!
Found my pressure point wristbands (Sea Bands) and they are helping a bit. They are ugly so I doubt I'd wear them out but around the house I don't care. Too bad its not long sleeve weather anymore to hide them.
I'm also just eating what I feel like whenever I feel like it. I was eating sweet tarts out of the kids' Easter basket earlier.
It seems every day the nausea gets a little worse. I am only not nauseated while eating, then I get a terrible headache and as it fades the nausea comes back. I have to eat every 30 minutes! Ah!
I am grateful for nausea...this is a good thing, right?!
