I have no car and the commute is over an hour. I could probably borrow a car for a while and have temporary childcare, but eventually would have to do it on my own. I don't really know what to do. My mother and sister say that I shouldn't accept the job because they don't think I'll be able to make it work. On the other hand, I feel that I could buy my own car or possible move closer to the job though the cost of living is much higher there (about 30-50% higher).
Basically, I'm asking: Do you think this is a doable situation? If so, do you think I should live closer to the job or commute?
Additional Info: I have been applying for jobs since I found out I was pregnant (3 years ago) and this is my fourth interview and my second job offer and the only one making more than minimum wage. Also, I currently live with my mother and SAH with my son. I was in school, but had to withdraw because I had no one to watch my LO. Now I can't go back until I pay my balance, so working is really my only plan right now.
Thank you in advance for the help!
