Help Me Stop Stressing

Everything is stressing me out! I have early onset gestational diabetes. The other day my blood pressure was a little elevated and now my mom keeps saying, "I'm really worried about you". Not helpful! I have a headache today and I'm worried about that. Everything has me stressing out!

Any words of wisdom are appreciated. Also, feel free to tell me your problems. Hearing other people's problems really helps me to stop focusing on mine!!

oh dalia, that is such a bummer.  I wish I had some words of wisdom about gestational diabetes but I don't really know anything about it other than it seems good that you are aware and can take steps to keep yourself and your baby safe and healthy.

 

If it helps at all I threw my back out yesterday for the second time in the last month and it is painful to walk, sit, function... That's all I got

 

I know yoga helps me calm down and center when I'm stressed.  In fact, I'm about to go do my prenatal yoga video right now to see if it will help this spasming back of mine.

Gestational diabetes is so stressful! I was diagnosed with it in my last pregnancy. I had no trouble controlling it (it was suspiciously easy for me to control, and I still believe the test gave a false positive), but it was still a huge stress. I really hope you're not finding it difficult to control your blood sugar levels.

Like ciga said, it is good that you know so you can keep you and the baby healthy. If you haven't been told not to exercise, it's a good stress reliever as well as a good way to help keep your blood sugar in check.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I know it's no fun and now that I'm feeling a little more secure in this pregnancy, I'm starting to worry more about being diagnosed again.

Blood sugar has been great all day. And I just checked my blood pressure- all good! Phew... Wonder what I will stress about next LOL.

Oh, and ciga, sorry about your back. Nothing is more miserable than back pain. Hope it gets resolved soon!

That's great that your blood sugar has been good. Exercise, time in nature, and my daily religious practices help me manage my stress.
