NS, How great to have some uninterrupted organizational time! I find it oddly relaxing too! I agree, that final stretch when you are so ready to meet your little one can be hard no matter how much you believe they need to stay in until the time is right.
EPP, LOVE the sneak peak! I can't wait to see more!
Sheryl, Oh wow! Take it easy if you can! Hopefully it means your body is just really ready and things will not be too drawn out when it is time.
Ghislaine, Isn't that funny how we can almost make ourselves too ready for babe to be late? I actually planned a baby shower for a friend ON DD1 due date because I thought she would be late. She came 4 days before her due date-thankfully I was co-hosting.
Jac, Hope baby stay put this time for you! That's a lot of turning!
Berry, I have to give you huge props for being able to even make it through a 4 hour shift at this point. I know nurses work HARD!
My midwife told me that once her clients get to 38 weeks, she recommends stopping all anti-inflammatory supplements (Vit D, Fish Oil, probiotics) as those do such a good job of preventing labor (I really amped up on these when I was having preterm labor) that they can push you postdates.
That's really interesting to me too! Something to ponder for sure. I really want to labor before my section but I also want my body to be as strong as possible given that I know I am having a surgery.
We've had a few pretty good days here. I've been having really low energy but we've managed do to a few fun things anyhow. Mint is popping up in the yard so we made some mint chocolate chip (coconut milk) ice cream today. Someone gave me a bunch of nursing tanks, another friend brought me a handful of larger maternity shirts since most of mine are too short (but I just can't see buying more at this point) and another friend brought me some stew for my freezer. It all made me feel very special and loved. I do feel like I am having about 2 days a week of energy and 5 of wishing I could just plant myself on the couch and nap. I want to be finishing things up and deep cleaning but I'm having a hard time getting there. I finally talked with my SIL to work out the details of the girls staying with them while I am in the hospital. This weekend is my shower. This is getting real!
