Antiphospholipid Treatments and Blood Thinners . . .

Hi Ladies,

I'm writing because I'll be gearing up for another round of TTC in June, and would love to hear from those of you who have undergone a similar protocol to the one I'll be following. I've had four very early chemical pregnancies (all around 4wks3days), two of which happened after I was successfully treated for PCOS. Long story short: I got put on metformin and sinthroid and have had regular cycles since January 2012. DH and I weren't able to try for most of last year for a number of reasons (surgeries, moving across country, etc.), and earlier this year we miscarried for the fourth time after TTC for 3 cycles. I'm seeing a new doctor, and he wants me to start blood thinners after I ovulate and to do a few antiphospholipid infusions prior to testing for a pregnancy. His hunch is that I have some kind of underlying autoimmune problem and that with these treatments I'll be able to have a healthy pregnancy.

I'm really hoping that's the case, but I'm still terrified that even this won't work and that I'll never have children. I guess, in the end, I'm looking for some reassurances that this treatment does have good results, but I'd also like to hear from those of you who've been through all of this just to get a sense of what I'll be in for!

Thanks in advance!

Have you been tested for antiphospholipid syndrome? Why does he think you have it? What is an infusion?? Do you mean blood thinner injection?
