Yep. LOL Never fails.
Mmmm... Bloody Mary...
My plan for this week's meals is broiled tilapia with veggies and quinoa, a roasted chicken with pumpkin seeds, and another breakfast pie, this time a greek-themed one.
If anyone is curious, breakfast pie is a new invention of mine that I am quite proud of. Basically, it's a frittata with a tortilla bottom and top crust. This one is made with whole-wheat tortillas cut into strips and latticed like a pie top, and filled with eggs, milk, feta, spinach, dill, garlic and chicken sausage. Last week's was more of a corn-tortilla lasagna which is why I called it "Enchilada" pie. It too had eggs, milk, cheddar, kale, cumin, garlic, and turkey chorizo, topped with salsa.
A microwaved slice of this + some cut up fruit is a nice, easy start to the day.
That sounds amazing!
Oh yes! Kerrygold is the best! I eat that and pink salt on almost everything...so good!
I went to the grocery yesterday and they had the BIGGEST most delicious looking strawberries I've ever seen. Same thing, almost no squishy and the color was amazing, so I bought 4 of them (pkgs) and some chocolate indulgence cream cheese. So here was my combo ... Cut strawberries, Fage yogurt, and 1 dollop of chocolate cream cheese :) stir and eat OMG
Oh. Yum. That sounds so very delicious...
I've been sick my entire pregnancy. But even with my first 3 I started getting nauseous during the 3rd tri again. Found it worse in Summer heat tho
I'm looking forward to a peanut butter, banana, chocolate almond milk smoothie tonight after dinner!
And dinner, too...grass fed beef ribs that have been cooking all day in my husbands homemade barbecue sauce made with his homebrewed beer, purple asparagus and mashed potatoes with lots of butter and pink salt. Today is a good food day for me! But I have still eaten almost all of the strawberries in the 2# container....
I have found I get nauseous all of the sudden randomly for the last week or so. It usually only last for about 10 minutes or so and really has not affected my appetite. I notice it the most at night when I am trying to sleep and I turn over.
We had grilled rumsticks with roasted potatoes, mushrooms and red peppers yesterday- DELICIOUS! We will have the left overs today with some homemade coleslaw!
Dh made rice with tomatoes veggie stir fry and some other stuff on the weekend.
Today for lunch I made cold spring rolls and dh made a pb sauce. We had plum sauce too. pickles, olives,Indian chickpeas. We had leftover plum and ob sauce so I mixed it together and I'm going to make a noodle salad w it tomorrow. Dd thought that was genius...sympathy pregnancy eating obviously
Tonight I'm using up some leftover rice/kidney beans/veggies/salsa and frozen corn and making burritos. Easiest thing for me to make the kids while on bedrest that I KNOW they'll eat and I'll enjoy too
