i had the falling out feeling a lot after my LO was born--it took about 6 weeks to completely go away. since then, i'd only experience it sometimes when menstruating...but then i've been having it this pregnancy--more and more. i find walking to be helpful i like to walk in the morning if i can before the house wakes up....and then when i feel the pressure i take it as a sign to rest! rest! rest! in fact i've done a lot of research and it's all about posture, pelvic floor and ab/glute and leg strength.
that link is from a physical therapist who had some kind of prolapse during 2 pregnancies...and then healed it herself with physical therapy. she has prenatal exercises that feel good for me to do...so you might want to try them. it's a yucky feeling and i certainly don't want anything falling out. there are lots of other natural exercise people who have similar theories/exercises.
another great book from a physical therapist is
and she says the feeling means to rest--she also highly recommends pelvic floor rehabilitation...and that internally it can't be done during pregnancy--but the strengthening can be.
hugs mama--i find it an annoying sensation--but try to work with my body and other needs as much as possible. not lift my 2yr old or other heavy things as much as possible. rest when it's bothering me. exercise regularly. also i think i read constipation exacerbates it. i have heard good things about acupuncture. also maya massage--though i can't find anyone who does maya massage around me.
also...thanks wrenmoon--i'll look into those recommendations!
