Oh, dear. I seem to have suddenly gained some water in my ankles, which I was dearly hoping to avoid. I ended up swelling so badly with DS that I felt like my feet were going to explode every step I took (I was unable to wear shoes and had to wear flipflops, but even they were snug).
So, what are some good ways of reducing swelling and reducing the chance of pre-e?
Here are things I know about:
- soaking in epsom salts (the magnesium apparently helps)
- light exercise (basically, don't sit all day, but don't be on your feet all day either)
- reducing the sodium in your diet
- increasing water intake
- increasing potassium intake
DS is anxious for me to play with him, but I'll be really watching this thread! I really don't want to get pre-e....
