How do you dress your toddler while wearing them outside?

It's currently about 16C/60F outside here and I was wondering if maybe I'm overdressing my son? He's normally in jeans, shoes, a long sleeved tshirt and a hoodie... but I think he might be getting a bit hot.

Yesterday we had lunch with a friend who had her son in a onesie t-shirt and pants... at first I wondered if he might be a bit underdressed but he didn't seem cold at all.

At this point is it safe to just start dressing him in a thin shirt? He's not overweight but he's not on the skinny side either so he gets sweaty pretty quickly... I know being sweaty is a sign of being hot lol but I don't want people to see my son out without a coat and freak.

I do what you feel and not what others think mama.  Why don't you layer him so the you can just shed clothes off if he seems to hot. 60 degrees is hot for me....lol and I too worry that maybe I am over dressing my son. You just want them to be comfortable and when They are not fully communicating their needs it can be a guessing game.

I wonder if you did not get any responses because this question is posted in babywearing....did you mean to do that? We could move the thread if you'd like.

Yup, I did mean to post it in baby wearing... Now that I read it over I guess that part wasn't clear in my post smile.gif
I was actually wondering how people dress their toddlers while wearing them. It seems at this point a t-shirt is more than enough but I don't want anyone to think I'm a horrible parent when their kids are still in a hat and mittens in their stroller lol (my son is usually in a hoodie if he is in his stroller these days)
