All the many symptoms!

Hey, all,  I thought I would start a thread where we can discuss and ask questions about all those great symptoms that come with pregnancy...beyond the nausea.

So today I started experiencing sharp, kind of stabbing pains uterus/pelvic region.  It is not when I am moving so I don't think it is round ligament pain.  I had not experienced this with #1, but from what I read in subsequent pregnancies you might feel more "accommodation pains"...which is the uterus stretching.  I think that is what I have going on.

Any one here have experience with this?

All I can say is --> Ouchie!

Not sure if I've got what you are describing at the moment, but this is my 9th pregnancy. (2 early losses and 2 second tri losses, 4 alive and well at home)  I have experienced every pain ache and cramp in the book.  (Not pleasant or relaxing thanks to my history!)  But those stabbing-ish, center, not ligament-exactly pains - yep. Ive gotten them every time, and every time I do a frantic search for ectopic symptoms, realize its NOT an ectopic pregnancy and then accept that its normal.  Accommodation pain sounds like a good moniker!

Lately I have had a LOT of achiness - I feel like Im in the late 2nd tri - not the 1st!  Pelvic bone is achy, back is achy, uterus is achy and then it cramps.  And of course each cramp, twinge, tweak, and ache makes me panic momentarily!! (Even though my losses never started out that way!)

So whats the deal!?  Number 9 and my body is going to let me "feel it" like its never felt it before?  I'm only 31... am I am getting too old for this already!?

I have had a mild crampiness since about week 4 (week 8 now, so a month). It's not too bad, and rather occasional, so I figure my uterus is just growing.

I know what you mean about frantic searching.Yesterday, I looked up ectopic pregnancy a few times.  When I finally felt good about this being normal, I informed my DH about it. And he asked if I was sure everything was OK, so of course I had to triple-check the internet.

I haven't had any of the pains since yesterday afternoon so if we see they keep up.

WifeyMommyMe, I am sorry to hear about all the aches and pains already! hug2.gif I had forgotten about the pelvic bone pain. With DS #1 I had a lot of coccyx pain, where sometime I would have a hard time sitting. I wonder if I am going to have that again this time around.

Miss Brea, I also had menstrual-like cramping from 4 weeks to about 6 weeks, since then it has seemed to let up some. Although last weekend, I was convinced that something was wrong when I started feeling menstrual cramps in my thighs (for me, those cramps usual come with heavy bleeding)  and to top it off, my other symptoms had temporarily disappeared...Fortunately, it seems that the whole thing was nothing to worry about because not only are my symptoms back, but I get new and exciting ones--like being stabbed in the gut! FUN!

Luckily I'm not having any pains, but I'm having this bizarre sick feeling in the back of my neck! It seriously feels like nausea in the back of my neck, and I have no idea how that even works. This is pregnancy number six, and I'm pretty sure that's a new one on me.

Anyone else having bizarre dreams?  I've been having the weirdest dreams already.

I had really vivid dreams right around the time of implantation.  Since then, they have let up. But last night I had a dream that my co-worker suddenly had a ultrasound machine in her office, so I decided to spill the beans and ask her to peak inside. She placed the probe up by my heart, instead of my belly. (There are other details that are sad and disturbing that I will spare y'all.) Then I learned that my male co-worker also had been pregnant, but of course, it hadn't worked out well...so he was waiting to pass the baby through his pee-pee hole.  He seemed not to worried about it at all.

I am happy to report that the stabbing pains have not returned.

Yes, I'm having vivid dreams every single night. Some of them have been scary, some just weird. This morning I woke up so angry at my kids, because I'd been dreaming that they were behaving HORRIBLY! Oh, I was so mad! Luckily I could just go back to sleep and get over it. wink1.gif

I feel like my symptoms have been so mild. I am trying to be grateful but it just makes me worry! I feel motion sick 24/7, cramps & twinges, really irritable and feeling inward. Like I would be happy to be alone all day!

(My last two pregnancies I was very very sick, vomitting before I even knew I was pregnant...I have thrown up once so far. It's still early though, yesterday marked 6 weeks)

I am always a vivid dreamer. I have not had any baby related dreams yet though!

I was just thinking how nice that would be yesterday! I was alone for 10 mins at home yesterday afternoon - I stretched out on the floor and just enjoyed the quiet alone time. *sigh* So nice!

I would be happy to sleep all day! That's the main symptom I'm having right now (in 6 pregnancies I've been lucky and never had morning sickness). Right now I'm so exhausted all day, like I could just close my eyes and be asleep in a matter of seconds at any place and any time. Plus there's this wonderful brain fog that's accompanying it that's making work extra fun.

Oh, and the bloat! I wake up with a nice flat stomach but by evening I swear I look 4 months pregnant already. I can't wait to have a real baby bump instead of just a bloated belly. My BF still likes to rub it and says it's only like that because of the baby so I'm trying to look at it that way.

Just in the last couple of days my symptoms have ramped up.  No morning sickness really (yay) but crazy pregnancy dreams, exhaustion, crankiness and I have a "cold".  I'm one of those women who get to have a head cold the entire pregnancy.  It's not really a cold but when the body starts making all those extra fluids for me it mimics a head cold.  I'm snuffly, coughing, congested and sneezy and will remain that way most likely until the baby comes.  I'm going to have to get a crate of Kleenex boxes to keep up.

I'm hoping my shortness of temper is a good sign that this baby is a girl.  With my three boys I was pretty calm and content but with my only other girl I was a raging lunatic the whole time.  Like seriously looking for a fight, I wanted a reason to punch someone in the face SO bad.  It was an awful feeling and I don't want to do it again but if it's the only way to another girl I guess I'll (we'll) have to deal.

Anyone else hate their partner?

I see Wellblessed above shared about being "raging lunatic" when pg with her girl... and if you asked my DH right now, he would say that sums me up perfectly.

It is BAD.  He can do NOTHING right.  It's almost like nesting gone to the extreme! (DH is currently unemployed, and "not trying hard enough" per me, exacerbating everything I think.)

I have done bunches of searches over past weeks, "pg and hate my husband" -- and it seems I'm in good company.

But this does not make me feel any better!  And certainly does not help HIM. :(

I'll say more.... if there is anyone else who understands!

BTW, it's not "cute" or that I am simply "irritable" -- it is like, vicious. It started with the pg. No matter what, all of a sudden it just ROARRRS out of me! He can do NOTHING right. It's starting to take a serious toll.

Side note -- related to gender of the baby, huh?  Hmmm... maybe we're having a girl???  (I think I can recall being CRAZY when pg with her too!!)  Wonder if there's an old wives tale here... ??

I am majorly sick, majorly tired, and struggle with antenatal depression. Not fun.

My husband swears my morning sickness isn't worse this time, but it is. My uterus is stretching like crazy, does anyone know if this is worse with second time moms? I am so happy DS is potty trained, I would puke on him if I had to do diapers. Fortunately, my husband has a thick skin. I have been kinda mean and grumpy.

If I could sleep all day I would feel perfectly happy. Hungry all the time. I had been able togo 3hours between meals, now I last about 2 hours!

thos crazy stretching "accomadations pains" are pretty bad too.

I was this way with both my girls, but not with my boy. And yes, SagBaby2013, with the two girls I hated my partner. They could do nothing right and their mere presence infuriated me but I was equally pissed if they weren't there! Since this time around I really want my BF around me all the time I'm hoping that's just further proof this one is a boy.

I am pretty sure I have felt baby move the past few days too. I'm 8 weeks today.

My sex drive is 0. Completely 0. No interest at all. That is one of the more annoying symptoms because now that I don't have to worry about getting pregnant I don't even want to. :-(

Oh yes! I just realized this last night. I was like that when i was pregnant with my surro son but not the girls so I'm hoping this is another "boy symptom" for me. With that pregnancy I could have gone the full 41 weeks with out having sex once and I would have been fine with it. But with the girls I wanted it all the time, like couldn't get enough! Funny what hormones will do to you.
