Sorry to hear that Jess! I found immediately after delivery that the itchy portion of my way low belly does indeed have stretch marks, just couldn't see them past my belly button. They are still itchy, not sensitive though. I am going to try some coconut oil for my boobs and belly soon...as soon as I can regularly get more than 2 minutes in the bathroom by myself.
DD had another bad night lastnite although I think she was just plain old worn out by the time we had supper and just needed to go to bed. She got sent to her room straight from the dinner table for not listening to anything, then I ended up yelling at her, then cried because I felt bad. I am trying to figure out if it is more her or me that causes such clashes but I am not sure yet. By supper time momma just wants to sit and eat damn it and not listen to how you want to get down the and have me wash your hands the second you are done eating! I am the last one to the table and by the time I take 2 bites either baby sister is hungry or DD is whining whining whining that she is done and needs this or that. DH and I have been struggling with 'do we teach her to sit at the table nicely until everyone is done eating' or let her down when she is done and try to get her to go play nicely while we finish. Baby DD on the other hand slept from 10 - 2 a.m. and then 3 a.m. to almost 7 a.m. I was so excited! It feels like she is moving in the right direction towards good sleep habits. The last 2 days she has even let me put her down in the pack n play for a little while, even when she is alert for a bit. Our pack n play came with a cute owl mobile and although I don't think she can quite see it well it looked like she was trying to figure it out this morning. It was funny because she was making face and wiggling her arms around when it was going. DD had her 1 week weight check/check up yesterday. The doctor asked if we had started doing tummy time yet?! Does that seem early to be asking that? I know I started late with big sister DD and didn't even really know about it until 8 weeks-ish but 1 week old? The doctor tried it with baby DD and she did what was expected but sheesh let me figure out how to survive a couple of days being PP and having a newborn and 2 year old before I worry about tummy time lady! haha.
I am so excited for Spring! My neighbors are having their annual Mother's Day Weekend plant sale starting today and I was looking up when our local farmer's market starts! So fun! Also, there is a homemade and vintage items store here that I am dying to check out. We don't have a stroller right now and I haven't figured out the best way to have baby DD in the carrier we have so getting out and about with just me and the 2 girls has been interesting so far. DH was able to be home from work while I was in the hospital and for a few days after but now he is back to work, plus his 2 side jobs, plus softball! I am just glad I am feeling a lot more relaxed about motherhood this time and able to not obsess over every detail. I was such am uptight hormonal mess with DD, this time (fx, so far) has been quite a bit easier.
