Yes, I felt that way for a few weeks. I had some stretchmark lotion leftover that I planned on using and I remember my skin felt too tender to rub it on. Fiance kept reminding me that there were two doctors tugging pretty hard on my belly to pull those babies out. Now there is about a one inch area all around my scar that still feels tender, But I think it's mostly the internal sutures underneath that I'm feeling. Hang in there. It keeps getting better. Before you know it you'll be falling asleep with one of your boys on your belly all in comfort. Although, I will admit I received a well placed kick to my incision yesterday and that smarted a bit, lol.

Just had to send my 1 week old on an emergency helicopter from our local hospital to the NICU hospital. She was turning purple while she was sleeping. She was breathing but would stop occasionally. She was stabilized when they took off. Couldn't help but bawl my eyes out while they were struggling to get her vein for her IV. We are on the road now to meet baby at the NICU. We will take all the prayers we can get.

Praying, praying, praying for you and DH and baby today. That must be so scary. My little brother had sleep apnea when he was a newborn and had to be on a small machine at home for awhile (when he would sleep). It was only for a period of time and then he was fine on his own. I hope the same (or better!) for your baby!

Oh, BaileyB, I can't imagine how scary! Praying for you and baby girl!

Gray has a cold... His nose is SO stuffy and he CONSTANTLY wants to nurse to soothe himself. I feel so bad for him! We have been using saline drops in his nose and I made some homemade shower disks to throw in the shower while I run the water and sit in the bathroom with him. It seems to help some, but he is still restless and can't sleep well.

Bailey, I hope everything is okay!

I don't know about you all, but my babies calm down so quickly to us 'sshhhing' them. So I downloaded a white noise app and it puts them right to sleep!

Another thing with my belly is that I feel tingly sensations on the inside, it almost feels ticklish. I feel like it might be nerves or something.

What, if anything, do you put on stretch marks post-baby?

jessmn, My belly still feels a little bit sensitive right under my bellybutton, so several inches above my incision. I don't think it's the skin that's sensitive. I think, for me, it's just a little bit of muscle soreness from being tugged on so hard. I can remember feeling like they were just going to pull my organs right out of my belly when they were tugging.

Just straight Vit E oil is what I think works best.

I have both vitamin e oil and bio oil. Love the bio oil!

I have heard good things about bio oil. I have used mederma before with good results but it is like $30.00.

Penny is still in the NICU. : ( But the good news is that they cant really find anything with her. The bad news is they cant really find anything wrong with her. She has acute micrognathia and acute retrognathia, which is better explained by just googling those. Right now it pushes her tongue back when she sleeps but she should outgrow it by the time she can hold her head up. Right now they are just trying to figure out to safely send her home since all we need to do is wait for her to grow. She is on .02 Liters of oxygen which is barely anything but for some reason she cant quite come all the way off of it especially when she is in a deep sleep. I'm doing pretty well but get sad when at home without her and at the end of the day when it seems my hormones and tiredness and low blood sugar from not eating enough compound. I am kind of mourning my lost ideal babymoon and am sad that such a sweet little baby has to be hooked up to monitors (which she hates). Today was nice and DH and I spent the whole day with her, from 9 this morning when the doctors did rounds until now, which is almost 9 here. I feel like other than going to lunch I got to hold her and do all the feeding and diaper changes for her and got to put her to sleep tonight. DH has to go to work tomorrow in order to be able to take off a day when she can come home or in case I need help with big sister but big sister and i are going to go visit her tomorrow and try to have a normal day.

Thanks I'll look into bio oil and mederma!

I'm glad to hear she's okay and in good care! Is the hospital at least close to your house? Hopefully they can figure out a way to get her home soon to reduce everyone's stress and get life to normal!

How often do you all bathe your babies? I don't want to irritate their skin by doing it too little or too often. We wipe their face and necks after they eat.

I have a weird question...has anyone had a spike in their libido since giving birth? I was seriously in the mood like 24 hours after delivery. I can say that has definitely has never happened to me before! And especially with the added stress right now I dont get it. I'm still leaking milk and have minimal PP bleeding, I would think my hormones would not have shifted back to normal yet.
I'm almost done pp bleeding and I say the interest is definitely there, though I am waiting till the flow has completely stopped to act upon it.

We bathe our boy every 3 or 4 days unless he needs it due to a blowout or something.

Not really for me, but we have DTD twice already. (First at 2w PP :-X. ).

My little guy has bathed with me once and showered with my once. (3w old today) I am not big on frequent bathing with skin being a first line of defense.

Is anyone esle dealing with crazy hot body temps and being all icky sweaty??? I partly blame the weather, but mostly crazy hormones....

Gemma has had one bath as well and she is 3 weeks old.

And yes to being hot! I get night sweats really bad and sleep on a towel so I can change it out half way through the night. I gave up wearing pj's too. I'll be glad when it stops! I can't remember how long it took last time... I assume it's hormonal.
