RM - That sounds incredibly scary! And just yesterday I was questioning my decision against getting one. Reaffirmed, thank you.
Gaye - I hope your trip to the funeral has the perfect balance of happy and sad.
Kerc - Ouch. But yeah, I'd spend the money on that a little more happily than on other home fix-its
Sparkle - Holy climbing wall! That was insane! Um, you don't happen to have any anxiety because of seeing your precious flesh and blood way the hell up there do you? Because my stomach got kind of woozy just looking at the picture! I am sorry about the panic attacks. I've had one and I'll never forget it - I think it was my nadir to date. And yes, dh is officially available for Call Saul status.
Jo - I do think the too-busy-to-eat part was huge, that and staying pretty much totally away from wheat in particular and most other grains mostly. Coincidentally I've taken up a habit inspired by Sparkle, eating spoonfuls of coconut oil. I'm a little bit hooked but I find it very satisfying and I think in conjunction with being generally low carbing it's had a hand in the weight loss too.
Jaxy - Welcome! I agree with the good shoes, or, being in such a warm place, what about going barefoot from the get go? It takes some time to transition to barefoot once you're accustomed to shoes but if you're not accustomed to anything yet you could kill two birds with one stone and possibly end up in a better place faster. Also agree with the run/walk method and holding off on sprinting until your muscles are feeling fitter. I've enjoyed running a lot though I do it rarely these days but I never did find it so amazing as a weight loss thing. For that I've always had much faster results with weight training (and these days boxing). In any case, stick around with us!
MelW - Amazing results from the chinese meds! My dh is also having impressive improvement from chinese meds and acupuncture on his allergies this season.
Mel38 - Oy! So close to the goal! That just hurts! But I agree, so glad you're not Miss Hell Hole Swamp!
Mommajb - I bet the dr will give the go ahead for a refill since it's asthma meds and you know, people die from that. Not that dd will, just that you could use that angle if you needed to. Hope the rebalancing happens quickly. Tonight I was at a Cinco de Mayo picnic before the show and ate some beans and slaw and ceviche a little too quickly or something and I had such an uncomfortable time. I'd forgotten how gross it feels to eat what doesn't work or in a way that doesn't work.
Lofty - You will not not not be an old lady to your kids! As if! And thanks for those links :)
RR: Um. Well, my twisted ankle feels almost normal today. So that's improvement.
NRR: The weather was BEAUTIFUL today. It's a little scary to have 80* and sunny this early, that's usually a special event temp in the middle of summer. But I'll take it for a bit longer. My mom arrives on Wednesday and she's hopelessly cold blooded so the warmer outside the better while she's here.
