The TTC One Thread - May Flowers and BFP's - Page 3

welcome tabitha hope #5 comes soon!

after all that waiting to start ttc this month and building up the experience in my head, this week of ttc & bd has actually been really tough! I am not normally an anxious person but i got WAAAy to stressed out earlier this week because of some work issues. i freaked out for about a day and a half. yeesh, not like me. I was supposed to O on thursday evening but i'm still waiting 2 days later! i think all that stress paused my O. I am just on the verge of it, i can feel it. Temp dip today. combined with the flu going through my house hitting both kids and a grumpy husband it was not all the love and romance i was hoping for! BD was a bit forced and the kids were up at night coughing. So, here's hoping it worked as i'm not too interested in the pressure of BD timing again!

perhaps i was a bit naive about the fun of whole thing. So if i O tonight then i will test 10DPO on may 28th/29th. I am also temping so that will give me a clue too.

So what happened to matts mom/cathy? i think she was due to test a week ago. hopefully she is well and will update us soon.

Hi mamas,

I've finally joined--it's taken me forever to do this!  We have been ttc #3 since february and while that's not a long time (esp since getting pregnant the first two months was so unlikely bc I had dental surgery and then dh was out of town for work while I was ovulating...grrrr poor timing), I'm seriously driving myself crazy obsessing about it.  We got pregnant with our first two really quickly, so the longer it takes this time, the more anxious I get.  I had a good feeling about this month, but AF showed up yesterday and I was so so bummed.

Today I'm feeling a little less sad, though, and hopeful for next month!

I'm glad to jump in here--it will be nice to share and give/get support!  We aren't really talking about ttc with friends/family irl and keeping it to ourselves is a little crazy making!

hi runonmama, welcome. it is nice to have somewhere to share what's swirling around in your head. i haven't shared much with my family/friends either. sounds like you will be successful soon! i am thrilled to have other moms on here TTC#3. makes me feel less crazy for wanting more kid chaos in my life.

so i did O last night, i felt it. finally! day 15/16. I was so excited, got one more BD dance in too! then this morning my thermometer BROKE. faint.gifit wouldn't beep so i had a look when i got up and there were no numbers on it. I opened the end to see what the battery looks like and water poured out! hmm, i had it in the bathroom yesterday because i wiped it down with alcohol. i think one of the kids must have tossed it in the sink or something. just when i finally ovulated!! bad timing! i ordered it online as i couldn't find any in my small town with 3 pharmacies.

so after a year of temping on and off to track my cycles and waiting to TTC, i have no thermometer for my luteal phase. i think this is a cosmic joke so that i will relax about the whole thing and have faith!

so i need to be moved to waiting to know please! when matts mom gets time to update. Perhaps next time someone else can manage the thread so we can have regular updates. Plus i can't wait to see those May BFP's listed!

I am due to ovulate in about 3-4 days and today I have felt some serious cramping. My next period isn't due for 18 more day so I'm hoping that with DTD every night for the next 5-6 days a baby may result. Our wedding is two weeks away and I think that would be an awesome wedding gift from him to me Sheepish.gif

Congrats to all the graduates! :D

I can be moved to waiting to know.  AF is due Tuesday.  I tested the past few mornings (DF is a horrible POAS enabler!) but all have been negative.  Hoping its still just too early!

Hi Everyone! New to this thread... DH and I are going to TTC starting in a few months, between Aug-Oct. So, I'd love to be a part of this group while I start tracking cycles. We're going to try really, really hard for a girl! We have three boys! So any tips or old wives tales, anything, I am open to try!

Jesepumpkin, maybe this is fate's way of telling you to stop temping because this is your month!  winky.gif

Welcome runonmama!  I'm also going for #3.  We are going to start TTC next month.  Hope you get your BFP soon!

Welcome NaturallyMo!  That would be a wonderful wedding gift indeed.  I got pregnant with DS1 on our "honeymoon" (which was 14 months after our wedding).  Best honeymoon souvenir ever!

Urchin_grey, hope that you get your BFP soon!

SierraBella, we are hoping for a girl, too.  We have two boys, and while we wouldn't be having another if I ONLY wanted a girl, it would be lovely to have a daughter since this will be our last.  I skimmed the book by Dr. Shettles while in the bookstore.  Y-chromosome sperm swim faster but are more fragile and don't live as long so things that help conceive a girl: DTD every day from the day you stop bleeding until at least 48-72 hours before ovulation, no orgasm for you (apparently, that helps the y sperm too much), no caffeine for him (helps the y sperm), briefs or boxer briefs for him (the extra heat puts stress on the more-fragile y sperm).  We never find out what we're having until the baby is born, so I won't know for quite some time if any of this works for us!  Best of luck to you!

I have been wondering about this too. I looked at her profile and it's been almost two weeks since she was last online. I hope everything is ok!

Hello Everyone. I have never joined a forum before and am pretty excited!  I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years.  I'm 30 years old and am on my second round of trying Clomid.  I just took the last pill yesterday and I am feeling pretty optimistic this time.  I did get pregnant about a year ago while using clomid but had a m/c.  This will be the first child for DH and I.

This will be our third, too, and I kind of want a girl! Three boys would make things "easier," perhaps, but I think it would be so great to mix it up a bit.

Although I had some hope that our rather late dtd would work, I'm feeling pretty pms y, so I think we'll be working on it next cycle. (What does BD stand for? I've figured out what it means, but I can't figure out what the letters actually stand for! Ha!)

Thanks! I knew the stuff about the boys swim faster, girls live longer.. but not about the men's underwear and caffeine! I'll look up Dr. Shettlles book on amazon...

I would also be just fine with another boy, but still totally want a girl :)

So I bought the Dr. Shettles book and a new basal thermometer! I'm on CD 3 right now, but my thermometer broke, so I can't start charting temps yet.

We're hoping for a girl too (well, DF is, I don't really care lol) but we're not really doing anything special to try to sway it one way or another.  Then again, we're only working on #2.  I may feel differently if the next 2-3 are boys. lol.gif

Good morning.  I was looking for a 40 and over thread but thought I would say hi!  I am TTC number 11 past the age it is smart to do so.  So far, nothing it working right.

My great grandmother had 15 and I'm pretty sure she had some of those in her mid forties.  And she lived into her mid nineties!

Don't give up hope!

I graduated!! Felt off, took a test (though early) at 8 DPO. Negative. Then crazy emotions/hormone surge 13 DPO and had 2 pink lines! It's still a bit surreal. : )

Hi again! Congrats rebekah7! <3

I got AF last night. Early and decisive. Nothing for me this month. So, waiting to O.

Congrats, rebekah!! I'm on cd30. If I don't get af by tomorrow, I'll be really suspicious! I almost bought some tests with an Amazon order, but we've spent a lot of money this month and they seemed unnecessary. Now I'm going to wish I'd gotten them!
