There is a large age difference between SDs and DDs. SD2 and DD1 have many similar interests. Last time SD2 was home from college she took DD1 to the Art Institute. They are planning a trip to the Field Museum when she comes home again. This is something that they both enjoy - and as DH and I say, better SD2 than us! They were at the Art Museum from open to almost close last time they were there.
SD2 asked for an activity for her and DD2 to do when she comes home. Because she's been in college for most of DD2's life, their relationship is a lot different and she asked for ideas of what to do with her. DD2 is super hyper active and definitely not a museum child. She doesn't like the zoo either, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with the two of them going to a water park (weather permitting) as F is not a good swimmer, but quite the runner. I know SD2 wants to actually take her out of the house because 1) last time SD2 and DD1 went out together DD2 expressed jealousy and 2) that way she (SD2) will actually be holding DD2's attention for most of the day without DD1.
There are a few things that I know SD2 could do with DD2 but I'm not necessarily sure that she would enjoy them.
So the question is...
What are activities your kids with large age differences do together? Especially ones that they can both enjoy?
