Breech Babies Turn! - Page 2
Right now I am feeling hiccups in my lower pelvic region and have been feeling a lot of lower pelvic movement today too (ouch!). I have no idea what position my baby is in right now except anterior. Here is a fun article: http://pregnancy.thefuntimesguide.com/2008/09/baby_position_in_womb.php
My babe was breech at my last appointment about 30.5 weeks. It felt like the feet were stomping on my bladder. I have been doing hot and cold packs and the breech tilt this week and I think baby flipped yesterday morning. I woke up to feel hiccups way down in my pelvis and lots of kicking up high. I have been feeling and seeing the movement alot more today too. I have another appointment this coming week so I am excited to find out if what I feel is true.
I'm sending my chiropractor to the spinning babies website so he can scope out some of those techniques for our next visit.
Anyone had luck with spinning babies?
ETA: I am going to try this inversion first since I am so congested I think some of the other inversions might make it worse. http://www.spinningbabies.com/techniques/349-open-knee-chest

My baby was camped out on my right side, breech, for what seemed like forever. S/he flipped sideways for about a week, and I was starting (@almost 33 weeks) to get a little worried, but at the last midwife appointment this morning the midwife thinks s/he is head down! Hooray! I have been researching moxi and inversions, but what I think really must have helped is getting my pelvis adjusted at the last chiropractor appointment last week. She said she was trying to give me more space to let the baby move around and I think it may have worked!! I have an ultrasound in another week and a half to check up on things, but I'm crossing my fingers that baby has turned.
We didn't do the doppler, though, to really figure out where exactly the heartbeat is. I've had enough sound waves for awhile.
I've scheduled appointments with my chiro and with a woman who does prenatal massage and trauma work (falls, difficult labors etc) and I think she is really going to help. I heard stories of her talking a baby into flipping head down.
I'm so glad to know everything else is ok so I can narrow my focus on moving/keeping the babe head down rather than just broadly flipping out about every possibility of wrongness. Breech presentation is almost a relief compared to the other crazy things that could be wrong.
And another thing...the spinning babies website has a page titled "flipping a breech" which totally makes me giggle and I don't know why.
Oh I hope so Wrenmoon! I am plagued by fears that this is going to ruin my chances of having a home birth. You know, after 3 years of trying to have a baby I finally get my opportunity and then I will have to have a c-section which means that even if I do get and stay pregnant again in the future I won't be able to have a home birth since primary VBAC home births are also illegal. I feel so very stuck, especially since this baby will NOT budge.
